[plant morphology] yellow quail
Annual or biennial herbs, 20-80 cm high. The fibrous roots are tender and white. Stem from the base of one to several branches, upright. The basal leaves are tufted, oblanceolate, fiddle like, with large apical lobes, blunt apex, and irregular wavy teeth at the edge; the cauline leaves are alternate, rare, usually 1-2, rarely 3-5; the leaves are long and narrow, with deep pinnate cracks. The inflorescence is small and numerous, arranged into a cymose panicle; the involucral bracts are 2 layers, the outer bracts are 5, triangular or ovate, the inner bracts are about 8, lanceolate; the Corolla is yellow, the edge is glossy flower, the center is tubular flower, the achene is brown red fish, with 11-13 edges, the crown hair is white; the flowering period is April to May.
Born in the wilderness. It is distributed in Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Fujian, Hubei, Guangdong, Sichuan and Yunnan.
