Lingzhen
Ling Zhen (1235-1315), male, Guowei, leimen, was born in Huanxi Township, Dongpu, Panyu county (now Huanxi village, Qianjin Street, Tianhe District). He was originally from Putian, Fujian Province. Father Ling Dong, Ling Zhen is the fourth son. In the fourth year of Chunyou in the Southern Song Dynasty (1244), Ling Zhenzhong was a Jinshi. Later, he served as the ambassador of Nanhai and moved his family to Guangzhou. The next year, he was promoted to Dutong, Guangdong Province.
Life story
In 1276, the yuan army captured Lin'an, the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty. The Empress Dowager and the young emperor Gong of the Song Dynasty surrendered. Zhao Shi, King Yi of the Southern Song Dynasty, fled to Fujian and became emperor duanzong of the Song Dynasty. He changed his name to Jingyan and ordered local organizations to fight against the Yuan Dynasty. At this time, Guangzhou was occupied by Yuan soldiers. Zhang Zhensun, who was appointed by duanzong of the Song Dynasty as the governor of Guangdong Province, was appointed to govern the military and political power of Guangdong Province. Under the leadership of Zhang Zhensun, Ling Zhen and Wang Daofu, the Assistant Minister of the Ministry of military power, reorganized the scattered troops. In April 1277, Ling Zhen and Wang Daofu, led by Zhang Zhensun, attacked Guangzhou in two ways. LV Shikui, the marshal of the yuan army guarding Guangzhou, retreated first because of the lack of pay. As a result, the song army defeated Liang Xiongfei, the yuan general left behind, and recovered Guangzhou. In November, Yuan general TA led reinforcements to join LV Shikui and fight back against Guangzhou. Zhang Zhensun led his warships to meet the yuan army in the Pearl River and retreated to Guangzhou after defeat. After guarding the city for more than a month, he finally surrendered on the condition that the yuan army did not slaughter the city. later. Zhang Zhensun committed suicide on the way to escort. When Guangzhou city was captured, Ling Zhen and Wang Daofu broke through the encirclement and got rid of thousands of remnant soldiers. The soldiers were divided into two groups, each according to Dongpu and Panyu Jiaotang. In February 1278, the main force of the yuan army stationed in Guangzhou withdrew to the North due to the rebellion in the central part of the Yuan Dynasty. Ling Zhen and Wang Daofu took advantage of the attack and recaptured Guangzhou again. The emperor duanzong of Song Dynasty issued an imperial edict to reward Ling Zhen, appointed Ling Zhen as Guangdong Zhizhi envoy and Guanglu doctor, and granted Yipin an additional title. Wang Daofu was the Minister of the Ministry of war and Guangdong transshipment envoy. The imperial edict also praised Ling Zhen and Wang Daofu: "respect for affairs, loyalty to the country, only pure sincerity in Burma, deep sigh." And promoted Guangzhou mansion to Xianglong mansion. In October, the main force of the yuan army advanced several ways, and Ling Zhen and Wang Daofu failed. In November, Yuan General Li Heng captured Guangzhou City, captured more than 300 warships and more than 200 officials. Ling Zhen and Wang Daofu broke through again and retreated from Dongpu. In December, Wang Daofu led the army to attack Guangzhou and was defeated. Ling Zhen led the army to rescue and was also defeated. Ling Zhen fought again in Jiaotang, Panyu, and lost again. After that, Ling Zhen retreated to Dongpu, collected troops, and continued to fight, but all failed. In the Yuan Dynasty, Ling Zhen tried to persuade him to surrender with the position of a consolation envoy, but he refused to accept it. Later, he died in the second year of Yuan Yanyou (1315) at the age of 79. Ling was buried in gudinggang, Dongpu, after his death. On March 22, 1997, Ling Zhen's tomb was moved to lingbian village in Panyu due to the construction of Tianhe space wonder. There are two towers in Ling Zhen's tomb. There are two characters "parents" written on the top of the tower. The bones are placed in the small tower inside the big tower. The cover of the small tower is sealed with putty. Although it has been hundreds of years, the bones are still dry. Ling Zhen has seven wives (among them, the Liang family is buried in Luogang, and the tomb still exists. The tombstone is engraved with "the tomb of Lady Yipin"), and 13 sons. Their descendants are very numerous. His eldest son, Lingfang, has lived in Huanxi village all over the world, and most of his remaining sons have moved around. In 2005, there were more than 1500 descendants of Ling family in Huanxi village.
