Nanzha town is located in the southern suburb of Jiangyin City. It is located in the beautiful and rich Taihu Plain and the belly of Su Xichang. The town is only 6 km and 11 km away from Jiangyin port and Zhangjiagang, the first class national open ports, and only 3 km away from Xicheng Expressway and Xinchang railway crossing. The prosperous Xicheng highway passes through the town. The traffic is very convenient, and the economic and social undertakings develop rapidly. The town covers a total area of 45 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of 15 administrative villages.

The industrial development of nanzha town is fast, the investment environment is superior, and the development prospect is broad. Nanzha Industrial Park was established in 2000 with the approval of Jiangyin Municipal People's government, with a planning area of 5 square kilometers. It is named as Wuxi key Township Industrial Park. At present, the park is divided into four zones: printing and stationery industrial zone, textile industrial zone, Jinnan industrial zone and ASEAN science and technology industrial zone. By the end of 2004, there were 111 enterprises in the park, including 22 foreign-funded enterprises. One of the world's top 500 enterprises, erlans mafi Paper Group, invested and established smafi Oriental Paper Products Co., Ltd. and Printing Co., Ltd. to settle in the park. With the rapid development of the tertiary industry, the planned Golden Triangle logistics park is named as one of the three major logistics parks in Jiangyin City. There are six markets in the park, including Golden Triangle building materials market, East China Golden Triangle non-ferrous metal trading market, scrap metal trading market, golden triangle wood market, golden triangle paint market and aquatic products wholesale market, forming a new pattern of market group development. Economic development has provided a strong material guarantee for the construction of small towns. The town has expanded from 0.8 square kilometers in the past to 2.5 square kilometers now. The development of education, culture and other social undertakings has accelerated. Private Peier has completed school and settled in nanzha town. Every village has access to the Yangtze River water. There is a 110000 volt substation and a 20000 ton sewage treatment plant under construction. Over the past few years, nanzha town has been successively rated as one of the first batch of pilot towns for comprehensive reform of small towns in China, health town in Jiangsu Province, advanced town for implementing education modernization project in Jiangsu Province, and model town for coordinated development of environment and economy in Jiangsu Province.
