Shaerqin town
ShaErQin Town, belonging to tumetzuoqi, Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of tumetzuoqi. In the early days of liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of the second and third administrative villages in the Second District of tumed banner.
In 1954, it belonged to the Sixth District (maolintai District).
In April 1958, ShaErQin township was established.
In October 1958, when the commune was formed, ShaErQin township was classified as Taohua commune.
In 1960, it was included in the suburb of Hohhot.
In 1961, Shaerqin commune was established.
In 1964, the suburb of Hohhot was transferred to Tumet banner.
