Xindian town is located 30 kilometers southwest of Chibi City, at the junction of tandu Township and Dinghu town in Linxiang City, Hunan Province. With an area of 103 square kilometers, the town has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages including Tucheng, Huating bridge, Yiyang bridge, dahuling, pushou mountain, Yuting, Zhuxiang, guanshi'ao, yezhu bridge, Wangfu mountain and Longmen Bridge, with a total population of 21907 (2017). It has been rated as "Xianning top ten Township in economic development speed", "red flag Township in Chibi City", and an advanced unit in family planning, organization work, publicity work and women's Federation work in the city. From 2004 to 2006, it was praised as "five good township party committee" by the municipal Party Committee for three consecutive years.

For more than 620 years since Xindian was built, it has always been a commercial distribution center at the junction of Hunan and Hubei. Taipingqiao wharf was a famous commercial Wharf in the Qing Dynasty. The Shipan street of Ming and Qing Dynasties, where the town government was stationed, is 1500 meters long. The tombs of Eastern Zhou and Western Han Dynasties and the ruins of Tucheng witnessed the vicissitudes of history. Shibanjie of Ming and Qing Dynasties and Tucheng site of Eastern Zhou and Western Han Dynasty were listed as provincial cultural relics protection units in 2002.

natural environment

The ecological environment of Xindian is beautiful, with even distribution of mountains and rivers, forests and fields, and superior agricultural ecological environment. The town has a total of 40646 mu of arable land, about 55000 mu of mountain forest, 4000 mu of reservoir water surface, and a total storage capacity of more than 3.9 million cubic meters. In the town, there are 25 kilometers of South Main Canal and 5 kilometers of Songpu canal running through from east to west, and 10 kilometers of Xingfu harbor running through from south to north. There are ten thousand mu tea garden, ten thousand Mu forest, ten thousand mu fruit peach, ten thousand mu ramie, ten thousand mu grain and oil and other agricultural bases in the town. The area of kiwi fruit ranks the first in the city. There are rich mineral resources in the town to be developed, and carbon rock resources and coal resources have great development value.

There are Beijing Guangzhou railway, 107 national highway, Beijing Zhuhai Expressway and Wuhan Guangzhou high speed railway under construction in Xindian, which constitute the unique traffic framework of Xindian. Taking the town government as the center, it is 4 kilometers away from the Beijing Zhuhai Tucheng interchange, 9 kilometers away from the 107 national highway, 12 kilometers away from the Zhaoliqiao railway station, 30 kilometers away from the Chibi City, 45 kilometers away from the Yangtze River Chibi wharf, and 40 kilometers away from the Linxiang City of Hunan Province. The traffic conditions extending in all directions are a major advantage for Xindian to move towards the market and develop its economy.

In the town, there is a water plant with a daily output of 1200 tons, a substation, four mobile communication towers, and optical cable for video and Internet. Telephone service has been opened in every village of the town. The town Party committee and the town government focus on strengthening the service to enterprises, abolish all unreasonable charges, implement "one window service", establish the isolation zone of "enterprises and departments, enterprises and surrounding villages", and improve the system of "listing protection, time limited settlement, and serious investigation and punishment", so as to create a good investment environment that can attract, retain, and afford.
