Hudai town
Hudai town belongs to Binhu District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. It is located in the southwest of Wuxi City and the northwest of Binhu District. It is adjacent to the central urban area in the East, Taihu Lake in the south, Qianqiao street and Yangshan town in Huishan District in the north, and Changzhou City in the West. In 2018, it covers an area of 37.8 square kilometers, with 10 villages (communities), one tea farm, one forest farm and one industrial park.
In October 2019, Hudai town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".
In July 2020, it won the honorary title of national health Township from 2017 to 2019.

In 2003, Hudai town was included in the pilot project of comprehensive reform of small towns in China. In 2012, it was listed in the first batch of pilot demonstration areas of urban and rural development integration in Wuxi. Hudai town implements the development path of "industrial transformation and upgrading, urban function improvement, and livable environment excellence", and strives to build an industrial town with high-end industrial development and a charming town with integrated urban and rural development. It is presenting a new image of Wuxi western modern regional center with a new attitude of modern industrial cluster, interactive integration of urban and rural development, and excellent human ecology and livability. The modern residential area of the whole town has begun to take shape (planned area is 6 square kilometers, including 4 square kilometers of Xinzhen District), and 2.3 million square meters of resettlement community has been built to a high standard. The planned modern industrial park is 21.29 square kilometers, with a built-up area of 16.8 square kilometers. According to the fourth national economic census in 2019, there are 2587 real enterprises in the town, 237 Industrial Enterprises above the designated size, and more than 10 listed enterprises and their production bases.
By 2018, there were 108000 floating workers and population in the town. There are 10 villages (communities), one tea farm and one forest farm in the area, including Liren community, huahuiyuan community, Furun community, Zhangshe village, Hudai village, Hongxiang village, Longyan village, Fu'an village, Xiadu Village, Ma'an village, Hudai tea farm and Hudai forest farm. Hudai town has a long history. In Song Dynasty, Hudai, also known as Hudai, was named after the embankment built along Taihu Lake. It has a history of more than 1000 years. According to the records of Fu'an Township in the Republic of China, Hu Dai belonged to Yong'an Township before the Song Dynasty, and changed Yong'an township to Fu'an Township in the Northern Song Dynasty. In 1929, Hudai town was established. In 1950, Hu Dai township was established. In 1957, Hudai and Zhangshe were merged into Hudai township. In 1958, Hudai people's commune was established. In 1983, the commune was abolished and the people's Government of Hudai township was restored. In 1991, the township was removed from the township and the village was managed by the township. In 1995, Hudai town was put under the jurisdiction of Wuxi suburb from the urban construction system of Wuxi County. In 2001, Binhu District was established by the merger of Wuxi suburb, Mashan District and some towns in Xishan City.
In 2008, Hudai town established Wuxi New Town Construction Industrial resettlement area, which mainly carries the resettlement enterprises of Taihu new town and Lihu new town. At the end of 2011, Wuxi Economic Development Zone of Jiangsu Province was entrusted to manage the economic and social affairs of the whole town. The functional allocation, internal institutions and staffing were determined by Wuxi Organization Committee. In 2018, the Standing Committee of Wuxi Municipal Party committee decided to establish Wuxi Economic Development Zone (Taihu new town), and Hu Dai will return to the township system by the end of 2018.

In 1996, the town covers an area of 48 square kilometers and has a population of 35000. It has jurisdiction over 15 administrative villages including Liutang, Guishan, Zhangshe, Liangan, Mengcun, Hudai, Hongxiang, Xixi, Dianxi, Shatan, Lujiang, Ma'an, Hexi, Shangshan and Hushan and Hudai neighborhood committee.
In 2007, 22 villager groups from the south of Xiyi Expressway in Dongqing village, Yangshan Town, Huishan District were assigned to Hudai Town, Binhu District, and Xiadu Village of Hudai town was established; xuangou administrative village, Yangshan Town, Huishan District was assigned to Hudai Town, Binhu District; Liangan and Liutang administrative villages in Hudai town from the east of Liulu road to the north of Qianhu Road, and Mengcun administrative village in Hudai town were assigned to the north of Xiyi expressway Huishan District Management. Hudai town residents committee was renamed Hudai town community residents committee.
In 2009, 11 administrative villages including Liutang village, Zhangshe village, Mengcun village, Hudai village, Hongxiang village, Longyan village, Helu village, Fu'an village, Hushan village, Xiadu Village and xuangou village implemented the work of staying in villages and building houses. The villagers' committee and community residents' committee had two brands and one team. The management area and office address remained unchanged. Cancel Helu Village (community) and establish Ma'an Village (community) and Helu Village (community) respectively. Helu Village (community) and Hushan Village (community) are under the jurisdiction of Wuxi Taihu Lake National Tourism Resort.
In 2010, the village committee of Liangan village was abolished. The Xiadu Village (community) village (residents) committee and xuangou Village (community) village (residents) committee were abolished, and the Xiadu Village (community) village (residents) committee was merged.
In 2012, the residents committee of Furun community was established, and the residents committee of Mengcun Village (community) was abolished.
In 2013, Hudai town community residents committee and Hudai Village (community) residents committee implemented integration.
In 2014, Liren community residents committee was established and Liutang Village (community) residents committee was abolished.

In 2008, the total population of Hudai town was 56953, including 17927 immigrants.
In 2019, the population of Hutai town registered residence was 34198, with 38960 temporary residents and 35000 floating population (including mobile workers). The permanent population of the town is mainly Han nationality. The registered residence of 109 ethnic minorities in the whole town is about 700.

Located in the hinterland of China's economically developed Yangtze River Delta, the southwest of Wuxi City, 15 kilometers away from the center of Wuxi City.
