Zhangxu Township
Zhangxu Township, belonging to Neiqiu County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the west of Neiqiu County, adjacent to nansai Township in the East, beixiaozhuang Township in Xindu District in the southeast, Songjiazhuang Township in Xindu District in the south, houjiazhuang Township in the West and Zhaozhuang Township in Lincheng County in the north. It is 36 kilometers away from Neiqiu County People's government, with a total area of 56.6 square kilometers.
In November of 1937, the government of Zhangxu Anti Japanese region was established in Zhangxu township; in 1984, Zhangxu commune was changed into Zhangxu township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the township was 7563. As of June 2020, Zhangxu township has 21 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the Township People's government is stationed in Zhangxu village.
The main food crops in Zhangxu township are wheat and corn, and the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, cattle and poultry. In 2018, there were 15 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Zhangxu township.
History of construction
In November 1937, the government of Zhangyu Anti Japanese zone was established. In October 1939, it belonged to the third district (Liulin). In July 1946, it was transferred to the fourth district (Baita).
In June 1950, it was again classified as the third district.
In October 1952, it belongs to the fourth district.
In June 1953, Zhangxu township was established.
In 1958, it belonged to houjiazhuang (Lighthouse) commune.
In 1961, Zhangyu commune was founded from houjiazhuang (Lighthouse) commune.
In 1984, Zhangyu commune was changed into Zhangyu township.
