Dianga town
Dianga Town, belonging to Diebu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the west of Diebu County, on the North Bank of Bailong River, adjacent to Kaba Township in the East, Dala Township in the south, yiwa Township in the West and Zoige County in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and Zhuoni County in the north across guanggai mountain. The area is 628 square kilometers. In 2018, 5681 people registered residence.
In 1956, Shangdi district was established in Zhuoni County, and four townships including WABA, Baima, maima and Zhongshan were set up in Shangdi district. In 1960, the district was changed into shangdie commune, and Zhuoni county was under the jurisdiction of Lintan county. In 1962, after Diebu built the county, it set up dianga township. In July 2003, the township was removed to build a town. In June 2020, dianga town governs 2 communities and 7 administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 11 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in dianga town.
Historical evolution
In 1956, Shangdi district was established in Zhuoni County, and four townships including WABA, Baima, maima and Zhongshan were set up in Shangdi district.
In 1960, the district was changed into shangdie commune, and Zhuoni county was under the jurisdiction of Lintan county.
In 1962, after Diebu built the county, it set up dianga township.
In July 2003, the township was removed to build a town.

Dianga town is located on both sides of Bailong River in the west of Diebu county. The terrain is high in the West and low in the East, and tilts from northwest to Southeast. Taking Bailong River as the axis, it is a valley landform with high middle and low middle on both sides of South and North. The terrain is divided into two parts: North and South Rocky Mountains and central valleys and gullies. The main mountain ranges are Dieshan mountain and Minshan Mountain. The highest peak, jiubokega, is located 4.5km northeast of zuai village, the main ridge of Dieshan mountain, with an altitude of 4725m; the lowest point is located at the river dam of Nishi village, Genggu village committee, with an altitude of 2200m.

The river course in dianga town belongs to Bailong River, a tributary of Jialing River in Yangtze River Basin. Bailong River flows 35 kilometers from east to west, with a drainage area of 19.6 square kilometers and an average annual flow of 19.1 cubic meters per second. The main tributaries are wabalongwa, zirunqu, jiangbaqu, etc. Among them, wabalongwa is 37 kilometers long, with a drainage area of 4.5 square kilometers, an average annual flow of 1.9 cubic meters per second, and a total annual runoff of 60 million cubic meters.
