General situation

Shibao urban and rural area is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Subei Mongolia Autonomous County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province. Located at the foot of Qilian Mountain, 148 kilometers northeast of the county, adjacent to Guazhou, Yumen, Tianjun and other counties and cities in Qinghai Province, it is a town with Mongolian as the main body, animal husbandry as the main body, planting as the auxiliary, township enterprises and tourism comprehensive development. After the merger of Shibao city and yuanyuerhong Township in 2006, the first Township Party committee, Township People's Congress, township government and township Commission for Discipline Inspection of Shibao city and countryside were newly established. The total land area of the township is 10090 square kilometers. The township governs 6 animal husbandry villages and 1 agricultural village. The total population is 1424 (2017). Shibao is rich in natural resources in urban and rural areas, with beautiful grassland scenery, abundant hydropower resources and land resources. Water is the birthplace of Yulin River, which provides favorable conditions for the establishment of hydropower station; animal husbandry is rich in characteristic beef and mutton, high-quality cashmere, butter, cheese, mare's milk wine, etc.; agriculture is rich in potatoes, beer barley, wheat, flax and other crops, which provides favorable conditions for the processing and marketing of agricultural and livestock products, and has a good development prospect. Rich in tourism resources, there is a transparent mengke glacier in the territory, which is the easiest glacier to climb because it is close to the town. There are 2007 shuixiakou and ancient castle Three Kingdoms film shooting spots. There is an ancient castle site about 1600 years ago - Shibao city. There are ancient rock paintings, seven donkey rock paintings. There is a natural formation of YEMA peak Tianchi. There are abundant wildlife resources. The hashhar international hunting ground built in 1989 is a good place for tourism and hunting.
