Lingdi township is located in the south of the county, bounded by panting Township and Jiumu township of Pucheng County, Fujian Province in the East, Gulou township of Pucheng County and langu township of Wuyishan City in the south, Qiancheng forest farm and Wuyishan reclamation farm of Shangrao County in the west, and Hengshan, Shatian and Tongfan in the north. The total area is 312.4 square kilometers, of which 2% is cultivated land, 84.2% is forest land, 2.4% is water area, and 11.4% is road and village. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the 15th and 16th capitals of Chengxiang. On the eve of liberation, it was called Lingdi Township, with jurisdiction over 12 Bao and 115 Jia. In the early days of liberation, it belonged to the fourth district. In April 1950, it was divided into six townships, namely Longtan, PUTANG, Xiaocun, Tieshan, Yejia and sikeng, belonging to Panling district. In August 1950, it was divided into eight townships: juntan, Xiaocun, Lingdi, Qixing, Shuangfeng, Chayuan, Shiren and chaigouyang. By the end of 1951, it was divided into 11 small townships: juntan, Shixi, Lingdi, Tianqi, Qixing, Dafeng, Xiaofeng, Lianhe, Fuyuan, Chayuan and Shiren. In July 1956, it was merged into eight townships: Lingdi, Shiren, Chayuan, Shixi, Dafeng, Gaoyang, juntan and Qixing. In April 1957, Fuyuan was added. On November 9, 1958, tongjishan comprehensive reclamation farm was established by merging townships, which was directly under the jurisdiction of the county. Lingdi township was established in September 1984.
Geography
The terrain is high in the South and low in the north. In the south, there are high mountains, and in the north, there are a few farmland. Tongcymbal peak in the south is the highest point in Guangfeng County, with an altitude of 1534.6 meters; the lowest point in the territory is Xidong in the north, with an altitude of 150 meters. The climate is mountainous, cold in winter and cool in summer. The annual average temperature is 15.4 degrees, the average temperature in January is 3.9 degrees, and the average temperature in July is 25.8 degrees. The soil is mainly red soil, yellow soil and purple soil. cultivated land is 10527 mu (paddy field is 8643 mu). The highway around the mountain runs through the whole territory, with a total length of 245 km and a cement hardened mileage of 42.5 km. ChiYan, near Gaoyang, is the place where the 18 warriors of the Red Army died when they fought against the encirclement and suppression of the reactionary forces of the Kuomintang. In 2005, the former site of Gaoyang Soviet, Red Army rock and jiuxianshan barracks in Lingdi were listed as red education bases. Red Army cartoons, slogans and popular songs can be seen everywhere on the rock walls and civil walls. Lingdi mountain area is also known as a red homeland.
