Jinqu Town, belonging to Mei County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the middle of Mei County, bordering huaiya town in the East, Shoushan town in the west, Yingtou town in the south, Weishui River and Changxing town in the north. Historical evolution
In the Yuan Dynasty, members of the Jin family gathered outside to build water conservancy projects and dredge the Ningqi canal to irrigate farmland. When people remembered his kindness, they set up a monument to record that this place was called Jinqu.
In the Three Kingdoms period, it belonged to Zhen County.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was designated as the third joint protection of Nanxiang township of mei5 County, with jurisdiction over eight fortresses.

In May 1949, it belonged to the third district of Zhen County, with jurisdiction over 8 townships.

In April 1984, it was changed into Jinqu Township, which governs 15 administrative villages.
