Ertun Town, belonging to Decheng District of Dezhou City, Shandong Province, is located in the northern suburb of Decheng District, bordering songguantun town in the East, Tianqu street in the south, Miao Town in Hebei Province across the canal in the West and dongsongmen Township in Wuqiao County in Hebei Province in the north. The area is 41 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of two towns had 18156 registered residence.
In 1958, it was the Ertun management area of Caocan commune. In September 1961, Ertun commune was established. In 1984, it was changed into Ertun township. In September 1994, the township was withdrawn and Ertun town was established. As of June 2020, Ertun town has 8 communities under its jurisdiction.
