Luoyan township is a new district established in 1984, which was withdrawn in 1988. It is located in the north of Yanjin County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. It is 31 kilometers away from the new district. It is adjacent to the six townships (towns) of Xinglong, Yanjing, niuzhai, Pu'er, aitian and Tantou. The economic income mainly depends on planting, breeding, forest and fruit, township enterprises and labor export. Copper mine and coal mine are rich in resources. They are typical ecological agricultural villages in mountainous areas.

Luoyan township is adjacent to the landscape of "three towns" (Yanjing, Zhonghe and Pu'er) and "three townships" (Tantou, Xinglong and niuzhai). in 1988, the district was removed and the township was built. History and culture
Wild geese used to live in swamps, so they often live here. Before Ming Dynasty, it was inhabited by some Yi people. At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, people from Hunan, Guangdong, Sichuan, Guizhou and other places moved here to settle down. In the third year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty, it was daguanting and Murong. In the sixth year of the Republic of China, Yanjin County was established as Yanjin County. In the 21st year, Shixing autonomous region was the second district. In the 30th year, the abandoned area expanded to Baolong township. Later, it was also known as Jixiang. In July 1950, the people's political power was established as the Third District Office of Yanjin County. February 1953 is the Sixth District. In April 1955, the Sixth District with Luoyan as its residence was abolished, and the three townships of Luoyan, Longtang and Tianxing under its jurisdiction were divided into the fourth district; Baishu township was divided into the first district; Wanhe and Baolong townships were divided into the new Sixth District with niuzhai as its residence. In March 1982, three brigades, Luoyan, Longtang and Tianxing, were set up from Pu'er commune to establish the Preparatory Leading Group of Luoyan District Working Committee. In the spring of 1984, when the rural government and society were divided, Gonghe was set up from Xinglong and Baolong was set up from niuzhai. Based on the original three teams of Luoyan, Luoyan district was set up, with jurisdiction over five townships.
