Paidiao town is located in the east of Danzhai County, 43 km away from the county seat and 113 km away from the state capital. It is adjacent to Leishan County in the northeast, Yahui Township in the south, Changqing Township and Yangwu Township in the West and Xingren town in the northwest.

Paidiao town has a total land area of 24592 hectares, which governs 37 administrative villages, a neighborhood committee, 256 villager groups and 188 natural villages. At the end of 2003, the total population of the town was 24294. There are seven nationalities living in the territory, including Miao, Dong, Buyi, Yao and Han.

Most of the cultivated land is distributed in the area of 450-1200 meters above sea level. The temperature varies greatly, and the difference is 3.3-5.7 ℃. The altitude decreased by 100 meters and the temperature increased by 0.52 ℃ on average. The seasonal difference is also very obvious. Majianao is warm in spring and the swallows are in full bloom, while Niujiao mountain is still full of jade trees and branches, frozen, and the farming season is more than 30 days different.
