On December 18, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Dazhou city to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Tongchuan District and other five counties (districts) (cfzm [2019] No. 21): Jiangyang township was abolished and mingyuejiang street and Yangliu street were established. The former administrative areas of old street community, Xinxue village, Hongyan village, Biyun village and Taiping Village in Jiangyang township are the administrative areas of mingyuejiang street, and mingyuejiang sub district office is located at 134 old street; the former administrative areas of Liangjiao village and yejiawan community, Qilong community, Yangliu community in Cuiping sub district, and the administrative areas of qianqiulong village and LEIYINPU village in Sanliping sub district are under the jurisdiction of Yangliu sub district, Yangliu sub district office is located at 356, the second section of suiding Avenue.
Jiangyang township is located in the southeast of Dachuan District, 10 kilometers away from the city. It covers an area of 32.59 square kilometers and has a population of 10772 (2017). Jiangyang township is located in the east gate of Dachuan District, 13 kilometers away from Dacheng. It is under the Tongluo mountains of Dachuan District, bordering Baishu township of Xuanhan County in the East, tingzi town in the south, Binlang Township in the west, nanwai Township and Panshi township of Tongchuan District in the north.

Currently, there are 5 administrative villages under the jurisdiction, covering an area of 32.59 square kilometers, with a total population of 10772 (2017), a cultivated area of 9910 Mu and a forest area of more than 10000 mu. Provincial 202 line, Dawan railway and Mingyue river run through it. The whole township has realized that every village is connected with cement road and every community is connected with highway. The territory has formed a very convenient transportation network.
Historical development
In December 1949, when Dachuan district was liberated, the site of Jiangyang township was subordinate to the second administrative area of Dachuan district (now Maliu, Dashu, tingzi area), and connected with tingzi, nanwai, Binlang and parts of Baishu Township in Xuanhan county. When democracy was established in 1952, nine, ten, eleven and twelve villages in tingzi were merged into Jiantan township. In 1953, Jiantan Township Office was renamed Jiantan township government and a party branch was established.
In the second half of 1955, the townships established during the establishment of democratic government were abolished and merged into the original townships. Jiantan township was abolished and moved to Jiangyang for new construction.
In 1958, the people's Committee of Jiangyang township was merged into the red flag commune (now the tingzi area, namely Jiangyang, tingzi, Fushan, Dafeng, etc.).
In 1962, the red flag commune was abolished and the Jiangyang commune was reestablished, with eight brigades instead of five administrative areas.
In 1969, a revolutionary committee was set up. In 1980, the Revolutionary Committee of Jiangyang commune was changed into the Management Committee of Jiangyang commune.
In March 1984, the Party committee and Management Committee of Jiangyang commune were changed into the Party committee and people's Government of Jiangyang township.
Since the reform and opening up, especially in recent years, under the leadership of the district Party committee and the district government, a group of people from the Party committee and the government of Jiangyang township have been sparing no public opinion, firmly grasping the advantages of "region, transportation and resources" of Jiangyang, focusing on the development of suburban areas, vigorously adjusting the industrial structure and attracting investment. The economy and society of the whole township are developing continuously, steadily, healthily and harmoniously.
From 2001 to 2007, he won 15-8 prizes in the comprehensive target assessment of economic and social development in the whole region, and won the third prize respectively for six consecutive years.
