Lichun town

Lichun town is located in the west of Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province, bordering Xijiao Township in the East, Taiqing Township in the south, Junping and Qingxing in the north and Longfeng town in the north. Huajiezi, the residence of the town government, is 5.5km away from Pengzhou City. Anpeng highway and Chengguan railway cross the whole area, so the traffic is very convenient. Lichun is named for its flowers. The Song Dynasty poet Lu You's collection of Lu You Weng says: "in spring, the moon blooms, and many tourists gather to compete with each other. Because of its name (Huajie)," it was built in the ninth year of Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty (1731 A.D.), taking the meaning of "beautiful spring", so it is one of the seven towns in Pengzhou City.

In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Lichun town as a national health Township in the period of 2017-2019.

Lichun town is 45 kilometers northwest of Chengdu, 5.8 kilometers away from Pengzhou City, 30 kilometers away from Dujiangyan City, 25 kilometers away from Pixian County, covering an area of 79.1 square kilometers and a population of 66000. Lichun Town, formerly known as Lichun Township, was famous for planting peonies in Song Dynasty. It was built in 1731 A.D. and named "beautiful spring", which is the origin of Lichun town. Lichun town was built in Minghua Jiezi in the 24th year of the Republic of China. Since it was built, the site has moved three times due to the river. At first, it was in shageng village of beijunping Township, named Wangjiachang, and then moved to Dongyue Temple of Pingqiao, Luohan Temple area, and then to the site of huajiezi as a field.
