Xingzhuang Township
Xingzhuang township is located in the north of Weishi County, Kaifeng City, Henan Province, adjacent to Shili town in the East, shuipo town in the northeast, Daying Township in the west, Weishi County in the South and Zhuangtou town in the north. The township government is located in Xingzhuang Xigang, 4.5km away from Weishi County, 47km away from Kaifeng, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, and 91km away from Zhengzhou, the provincial capital. The township is 8.6 km long from north to South and 12.5 km wide from east to west, with a total area of 88.3 square kilometers. Xingzhuang got its name from the earliest residence of the Xing family. It was not until March 1963 that Xingzhuang people's commune was established from Chengguan, Zhuangtou and Daqiao. In 1983, the commune was changed into a township.

Historical evolution
Xingzhuang commune was established in 1963 and changed to township in 1984. In 1997, it covers an area of 88.3 square kilometers and has a population of 42000. It has 29 branches: Xingzhuang, Shizhuang, Luguan, qulou, ShuiHuang, shaojiuhu, fulizhuang, Mingjia, damiaoyang, qilitou, Zhaozhuang, Leijia, Yuejia, bojiren, Zhenjia, guoxinzhuang, guaiyang, Yinjia, Gezhuang, Shangcun, Dongzhuang, beidingzhuang, Aotou LV, Hanzhuang, Sanli, guofo, beijingzhao, lumuzhang and Anzhuang Political village.
Geographical features
The central and western part of Xingzhuang township is a hilly area. Due to the sediment deposition along the Jialu River in the East, the terrain is high and inclined to both sides, forming a dustpan like terrain with high east-west and low middle. Most of the elevation is between 66-71 meters, the highest point is in zhaobeigang, the altitude is 89.4 meters, and the lowest point is in the east of Wangzhuang village, the altitude is 65 meters. Most of the sand hills in the central and western part of China are north-south strike, and the East-West uplift is in the shape of "Sichuan", with a relative height of about 1-0 meters. The soil is mostly accumulated by yellow sand and moves with the wind. In the East, it is mixed soil and clay. The main rivers in the territory are: beikanggou River enters from Daying Township, passes through the middle of Xingzhuang Township, and flows into Jialu River, with a flow length of 12 km. Its branch Liuming River enters from Zhuangtou Township, and flows southward from the east of Xingzhuang township to beikanggou River; mingjiagou River and Gehe River both originate from Zhuangtou Township, and flows southward from the middle and west of Xingzhuang township to kanggou river.

Xingzhuang township is rich in land, sufficient light, and all kinds of crops are planted. Wheat is distributed all over the country, with a sowing area of 52174 mu, a yield of 243 kg per unit area and a total yield of 12.693 million kg; corn is mainly concentrated in the central part, with an area of 16632 mu, a yield of 227 kg per unit area and a total yield of 3.769 million kg; cotton is distributed along the eastern Jialu River, with an area of 22311 mu, a yield of 60 kg per unit area and a total yield of 1.337 million kg; peanuts are mostly planted in the Western Sandy Area, with an area of 9914 mu, a yield of 182 kg per unit area and a total yield of 180 million kg 22000 kg. Well irrigation is the main form of farmland irrigation, supplemented by Yellow River Irrigation in the eastern region. The main channel of the third West Yellow River diversion project runs through the eastern part of the township, with a length of 9 km and a flow rate of 25 s. In 2009, the effective irrigation area was 32000 mu, accounting for 44.2% of the cultivated land area, of which 23300 Mu was protected by drought and flood, accounting for 32.2% of the cultivated land area.
Agricultural machinery
Since the implementation of the rural contract responsibility system, all kinds of agricultural machinery have entered thousands of households, which is characterized by small and medium-sized. In 1988, the township had 2643 sets of various agricultural machinery, with a total power of 11585 kW, 3.34 times that of 1979, including 22 large and medium-sized tractors, 521 small tractors, 15 large and medium-sized agricultural machinery, 618 irrigation and drainage machinery, 30 diesel engines, 588 motors, and 849 agricultural machinery such as water pumps, harvesters and threshers. The machine cultivated area is 45000 mu, accounting for 62.2% of the cultivated area.
Forestry
Paulownia, poplar and Robinia pseudoacacia are the main tree species in the township. The construction methods include farmland forest network, intercropping of Paulownia, Robinia pseudoacacia, planting trees on all sides, and fruit tree garden. The forest coverage rate is 30%, including farmland forest net B of 50000 mu, farmland Paulownia Intercropping of 26000 mu, Robinia pseudoacacia forest of 17000 mu, 713000 trees planted around, and orchard of 3500 mu. The annual output of fruits is 669000 kg, the volume of live grass is 60800 m3, and the Total Forestry output value is 593000 yuan.
Aquaculture
The development of family breeding is a new way to get rich. In 1988, there were 10113 livestock (7195 cattle, 161 horses, 1544 donkeys and 1213 mules), 11402 pigs, 7638 sheep, 76000 poultry, and 2.942 million yuan of animal husbandry income. There are also some specialized fish farmers, such as Wang Kefan, a specialized fish farmer in qilitou village, who contracts more than 100 mu of fish ponds with an annual income of more than 30000 yuan.
Industry and sideline
Although Xingzhuang Township started late, its industry and sidelines developed rapidly. Many families are engaged in textile, sewing, wood and iron industry, construction, embroidery, flour, feed processing and other household sideline activities, with an annual output value of 3.916 million yuan. Township run enterprises have developed from zero to nine in 2009: brick and tile factory, Yuzhi factory, canvas factory, paper mill, chemical factory, leather shoes factory, medical equipment factory, etc. The products are marketable. For example, the chemical dyestuffs produced by chemical factories have entered the international market and received good economic benefits. There are 3024 village, group, union and four level enterprises, mainly engaged in kiln, construction, prefabrication, wire drawing, electric saw, shoe-making and other industries. In 1988, the total output value of five level enterprises reached 21.05 million yuan, accounting for 48.6% of the total output value of industry and agriculture, and 5721 employees, accounting for the total output value of the township 35% of the power.
Transportation
Kaifeng Xuchang highway and Kaifeng Yanling highway respectively pass through the southeast and east of Xingzhuang Township, with the transit length of 5 km and 9 km respectively. In 1976, the township government organized human resources and financial resources to build a 3 km asphalt road from the township government to Shizhuang on the basis of the original local highway. There are five main soil roads, 20 km long, connecting villages. The development of highway industry has led to the rise of transportation industry. In 2009, there were 16 trucks and 6 buses in the township, with an annual income of 400000 yuan.

Culture
Xingzhuang Township, which is close to the county seat, is influenced by the cultural undertakings of the county seat. The cultural facilities in the township are relatively complete and the cultural life is rich and colorful. In 2009, there was a cultural station, a broadcasting station and a film management station, 18 film projection teams, 1500 films per year, and 100% of the households had cable broadcasting horns. There are 28 village level libraries and reading rooms with a collection of more than 10000 books. In addition, the folk spontaneous organization has 8 accompaniment staff of Quyi singing and 12 members of class 2 of Suona team. There are also traditional folk performances, such as lion, stilt, bamboo horse, dry boat, pull dead donkey, two ghost board fall and so on.
education
When Xingzhuang commune was established in 1963, there were 12 primary schools with 1700 students and 60 teachers. During the cultural revolution, there was a blind development, but the quality of teaching was low. After the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the CPC, after rectification, it was on the normal track of development. In 2009, there were 5 secondary schools with 24 classes, 970 students and 80 teachers; 25 primary schools with 112 classes, 3900 students and 240 teachers; 28 preschool classes with 1100 children and 36 kindergarten teachers. The enrollment rate of school-age children was 98.4%.
hygiene
Xingzhuang township hospital was founded in 1963, with 18 medical staff. Due to the restriction of the county hospital, there has been little change in the past 20 years, but the medical equipment and technology have improved significantly. In 2009, there was a 1640 square meter outpatient room with 26 medical staff, including 2 attending doctors, 5 doctors, 6 doctors, and 25 beds. There are 29 clinics and personal clinics in the village, and 56 rural doctors.
Cultural sites
There are three county-level cultural relics protection units in the territory: Kangwang tomb site 1 km southwest of Shangcun, 90 meters long from north to south, 45 meters wide from east to west, and 15 meters high, with three tombs, covering an area of 675 square meters; Shangwang tomb in the northwest of Shangcun, and 21 women's joint tombs 100 meters west of lumuzhang village. The tombstone records the atrocities of Japanese imperialism invading China in that year.
