Jinkou town
Jinkou town is located on the shore of the Yellow Sea and T-shaped Bay, with a coastline of 15 kilometers. There are 102 administrative villages in the town, with a permanent resident population of 71979 people (in 2017), and an area of 194.05 square kilometers. It is the largest town under the jurisdiction of Jimo district. Since ancient times, Jinkou has been a famous commercial port. Jinkou town belongs to the warm temperate monsoon climate in the low mountain area, with an annual average temperature of about 12 ℃.
In May 2020, it will be selected into the list of provincial cultivated land protection incentive townships (towns, streets) in 2019.
General situation of the town
Jinkou town is located on the shore of Yellow Sea and T-shaped Bay, with a total area of 194.05 square kilometers. It governs 102 administrative villages with a permanent resident population of 71979 (in 2017). It has a total cultivated area of 46000 mu, including 36000 mu of coastal beaches and 8280 mu of mountains. In the east of Jinkou Town, there is a large tidal flat. The villages are mainly distributed in the south, West and north of the town. Nanqian, the town government's residence, is located in the center of the town.
Jinkou town is located at the junction of Jimo, Laiyang and Haiyang. It runs through Qingwei highway, Laiqing sea ring highway and Wangliu highway. It is 40 km south of Qingdao International Airport and 80 km south of Qingdao port. It has superior location and convenient transportation. In the town, there are 1100 kilowatt substations with industrial dedicated lines, sufficient power, water supply and complete communication facilities.
The industrial characteristics of Jinkou town are obvious, with coordinated development of industry, agriculture, commerce and tourism. Evolution of villages and towns
Jinkou town has a long history of human habitation. A series of Neolithic sites such as Nanqian site, Beiqian site, dongyandi site, jiangjiamaping site, sunjiazhoutuan site and their latest excavation results fully prove that human life existed in Jinkou area at least 6500 years ago, and this area has a relatively high level of civilization. It fully proves that the root of Qingdao's culture lies in Jimo and the source of Jimo civilization lies in Jinkou. according to historical records, the historical evolution and division of Jinkou are as follows. In Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, it was Laiyi, belonging to Qingzhou. In the spring and Autumn period, it belonged to laizi state. After Qi destroyed Lai, it belonged to Jimo City of Qi. and Qin unified the six countries to set up counties, which belong to Qi county and Jimo county. In the Western Han Dynasty, it belonged to Gaoyu County, Langya county. In the new period of Mang, Wang Mang changed Gaoyu into "yinglu". After Wang Mang was killed, "yinglu" regained its original name Gaoyu. During the reign of Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Gaoyu county was abandoned, and its territory was not returned to its county. It belonged to the Beihai state of Qingzhou. In the Three Kingdoms period at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, it belonged to Jinan County, Qingzhou Buqi county. In the second year of Yuan Dynasty (1265 AD), Jimo county was abandoned again. It was located in Yexian County and Jiaojiao county. It belongs to Laizhou Prefecture, Yidu Road, Zilai road and Banyang Road, West Shandong Road, Zhongshu province. In the ninth year of Zhizheng reign of Yuan Dynasty (A.D. 1349), Jimo county was restored, and the land still belonged to it. In the early Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Laizhou Prefecture, Jimo County of Shandong Province and aoshanwei Prefecture of the Fifth Army. In 1734 ad, the Weisuo was abolished, and Jimo and Aoshan Weicai became one. They were part of the GuQing society, zhoutuan society and Gaowang society in Dongyi township of Jimo County, which were led by Shandong governor Denglai Qingdao Laizhou Fu Jiaozhou. After Qianlong, Laizhou Prefecture, Zhili County, Jimo County, was under the jurisdiction of the ancient Qingshe, including Majiazhuang, Chenjiazhuang, Sunjiagou, tuanbuzhuang, Shanwangzhuang, fangjiazhuang, hubuqian, xidianzi, beiqiantun, houjiatan, jinjiakou, xinanxiqian, Nanqian, Beiqian, yujiatun, zhoujiatun, yangjiatun and xingjiazhuang. In 1950, Jinkou town was changed to Jiaozhou District, namely Dongxian county. In November 1951, Jidong county was divided into 13 districts. Jinkou district is the Fourth District of Jidong County, which governs eight townships of Jinkou, fengfengshan, Linhai, Dongqu, tuanbu, Shanwang, Shengli and zhoutuan. At that time, Shanyin village belonged to the third district and Shandong village belonged to the Sixth District. In March 1956, Jimo county was abolished, and the former Jimo county was transferred to Laiyang district. Then Jinkou district was abolished and merged into Dianji district.
