Jianhua District Jianhua district is one of the municipal districts of Qiqihar city. It is located in the north of Qiqihar City, adjacent to Fuyu County in the north, facing meilisyarsai across the river in the west, Tiefeng district and Longsha District in the East and south respectively. With a total area of 123 square kilometers and a total population of 290000 (2012), it includes 24 ethnic groups, including Han, man, Hui, Meng, Xian and Daur. In 2011, the region's GDP reached 5 billion yuan. Waterways, highways and railways crisscross the area, extending in all directions. National Highway 301 crosses the area, connecting Jianhua district with Gannan and Lindian. The district government is located at 214 bukui street.
Historical evolution
The original name of Jianhua district was "bukui" (or bukui). In 1685 (the 24th year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty), Heilongjiang general set up a post station from maoxing (now maoxing town of Zhaoyuan County) to Heilongjiang city (now Aihui town of Heihe City), where bukui station was set up. In 1692 (the 31st year of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty), Qiqihar city was built in bukui, also known as "bukui".
After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, in May 1946, Qiqihar Municipal government divided the original 11 districts of the city into six districts. Today, Jianhua district is divided into one district and five districts. On December 11, 1954, the people's Government of Heilongjiang Province approved the establishment of Beiguan District by merging the northern part of the former one district, part of the five districts and Sihe village of the four districts. Jianhua District, formerly known as Beiguan District, was renamed Jianhua district by Jianhua machinery factory. In December 1958, the city realized the "people's communization", transforming the original six districts into ten people's communes, including Tiefeng, Longsha and Jianhua. On August 30, 1961, 11 urban communes were changed into 7 districts, and Jianhua commune was changed into Jianhua district.
In 1992, Qiqihar city of Jianhua district was under the jurisdiction of the city. Located in the middle of the city, on the East Bank of Nenjiang River. It is adjacent to Fuyu County in the north, Tiefeng District in the East and Longsha District in the south. The total area of the region is 81 square kilometers, of which the built-up area is 21 square kilometers. The district has jurisdiction over seven sub district offices, including Dongshi market, Dongwu, Zhonghua, xidaqiao, bukui, Jianshe and culture, and Jianhua township.
On July 7, 2005, with the approval of the people's Government of Heilongjiang Province, Jianhua District abolished Jianhua Township and merged into the urban sub district office.

Jianhua district is located in the north of Qiqihar city. Tiefeng district is adjacent to Zhonghua Road drainage ditch, self defense street and Zhanqian North Street in the East, Longsha district is adjacent to Nenjiang flood control dam from Longsha road and Laodong road in the south, meilis district is adjacent to Erdaojiang river across Nenjiang River in the west, and Fuyu County in the north. It is located at the throat of Nenjiang bridge in the West and qihei highway fortress in the north. It is an important place for Qiqihar to enter and leave the city in the West and north directions.
topographic features
Jianhua district is divided into East and west parts with hujiapaozi as the boundary. The east part is high and the west part is low. The east part is sand dune and the west part is Nenjiang low floodplain.

Jianhua district has a temperate continental climate. It is very cold in winter with little snow and very hot in summer with an average annual temperature of 3.2 ℃. The annual frost free period is about 136 days with 2867 hours of sunshine.

The territory is full of tender water and rich in water resources. Nenjiang River and its branches are mainly located in the northwest of China. The water surface of the lake reaches 30.1 hectares. As of September 2009, there are 8 Lake bubbles in Hongguang, Shuguang and Shuanghe villages, covering an area of 2000 mu and 2-3 meters deep.
