Fusong County, belonging to Baishan City, Jilin Province, is located in the southeast of Jilin Province, at the upstream of Songhua River and the northwest foot of Changbai Mountain. It is bounded by erdaosonghua River in the north, Huadian City and Dunhua City in the south, Linjiang city and Changbai Korean Autonomous County in the south, Antu County and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the East, Jingyu County across the river and Jiangyuan District in the West. In 2003, Changbai Mountain was named one of the top ten famous mountains in China. Fusong is the hometown of ginseng in China. It has more than 1500 years of wild ginseng mining history and 450 years of artificial cultivation technology. It is the origin and main production area of genuine ginseng. 70% of the global ginseng trading volume is completed in Fusong. At the same time, Fusong is also an important north medicine base in China, with more than 870 kinds of wild Chinese medicinal materials mainly composed of ginseng.

Historical evolution
On October 20 (December 2, 1909), the first year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty, Xi Liang, the imperial minister, the governor of the three eastern provinces, and Cheng De, the deputy governor of the three eastern provinces, invited him to set up a county after Changbai Mountain (now Fusong area). On October 24 of the first year of Xuantong (December 6, 1909), the money was handed in by the military aircraft department. On the sixth day of December of the first year of Xuantong (January 16, 1910), it was awarded Zhu's approval to establish the county. At the beginning of the founding of the county, the county was located in shuangdianzi, so it was named Shuangdian county. Shuangdianzi is commonly known as "dianzi Street", which is now Fusong town. It got its name from the fact that there were two large meadows above and below malugou in those years. Because the whole area is located in the upper reaches of the Songhua River, "government affairs are complicated" and "dynamic negotiations" are carried out.
On July 19, 1910 (August 23, 1910), it was renamed "Fusong County" and attached to Fengtian province.
In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Baifu, governor of Fengtian.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), it belonged to the Eastern Road of Fengtian province, and changed the county administrative office into the county office. A bronze seal of "Fusong County seal" was awarded.
In 1929, Fusong County was a county directly under the central government of Fengtian province. In the same year, he was ordered to change the county office into the county government.
On October 1, 1934, the Puppet Manchurian State promulgated the "provincial official system", and Fusong County became Anton Province on December 1.
In July 1937, it was transferred to Tonghua province.
In 1945, after the victory of the "September 3" Anti Japanese War, the people's democratic regime was established. On December 18 of the same year, the democratic government of Fusong County was established, which belongs to the fourth Office of the Liaoning Jilin Office of jireliao district. On December 20 of the same year, it was transferred to Tonghua Commissioner's office of Anton province.
In January 1946, it was transferred to Tonghua district administrative office of Jilin Province. On July 21, 1946, it belonged to the first office of Tonghua District, Liaoning Province.
In January 1947, Liaoning Province was directly under the central government. On May 22, 1947, it was the first Commissioner's office in Tonghua, Liaoning Province.
On July 20, 1948, it belonged to Tonghua administrative inspector's office of Anton province.
On May 18, 1949, it was transferred to Tonghua administrative inspector's office of Liaodong province.
In June 1952, it was directly under the central government of Biandong province. On July 23, 1954, it was put under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province and belongs to Tonghua regional Commissioner's office. On April 30, 1955, the county people's government was renamed the county people's Committee. After the "Cultural Revolution" began in 1966, the county people's Committee was forced to stop exercising its functions and powers and was taken over by the production headquarters of Fusong County People's Armed Forces Department of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. In March 1968, Fusong County Revolutionary Committee was established.
In September 1980, it was renamed Fusong County People's government.
On February 4, 1985, the Tonghua District Commissioner's office was abolished and the county was governed by the city, which has been under the jurisdiction of Hunjiang city (now Baishan City).

Fusong is a mineral spring city in China. Located in the center of one of the world's three major mineral water enrichment areas, 41 mineral water sources with development value have been found, and 16 water sources have been explored and identified, with the allowable exploitation volume of 55000 cubic meters per day. There are metasilicic acid type, carbonate compound type and strontium, lithium, vanadium, etc., which are very rare, comparable to the vovik mineral water in the Alps and narzan mineral water in the north Caucasus.

Fusong County is mainly divided into the first Songhua River Basin and the second Songhua River Basin. Because it is located in the hinterland of the west slope of Changbai Mountain, it has dense forests and ravines, and is rich in water resources. Fusong County is one of the first electrified counties in China, with 66 rivers more than 10 kilometers. The exploitable capacity of hydropower resources is 810000 kW, and 590000 kW has been developed. Among them, the hydropower resources technology of small hydropower in the whole county can develop an installed capacity of 220000 kilowatts. By the end of 2017, 16 small hydropower stations have been built in the county, with a total installed capacity of 84400 kW and a designed annual power generation of 2032.1 billion kwh. With a total investment of 5 billion yuan and an installed capacity of 510000 kW, Songjiang cascade hydropower station, a key water conservancy project in Fujian Province, is the largest peak shaving hydropower station in Fusong County.
