Taijiang County Taijiang county is a county under the jurisdiction of Qiandongnan Prefecture of Guizhou Province. It is located in the southeast of Guizhou Province and the middle of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture. The county seat is 48 kilometers away from Kaili City, the capital of Guizhou Province, and 218 kilometers away from Guiyang City, the capital of Guizhou Province. There is No. 65 highway, 320 national highway line through the county.

Historical evolution
Taijiang (Miao: fangbnix), which belonged to Kailong County of Yingzhou in the Tang Dynasty, was called "exogenous Miao land" in song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.
In 1728, the imperial court decided to open up the Miao territory. Fang Xian, the magistrate of Zhenyuan, went to Taigong villages to appease the Miao people, registered their household names, granted the Han surname of the Miao people, and set up Baojia.
On May 25, 1733, the 11th year of Yongzheng reign, Taigong hall was built. A member of Miao Tongzhi, who was set up by Zhenyuan government, was stationed in Taigong and built Taigong city.
In September 1913, Taigong hall was changed to Taigong County, and Dizhen Yuandao was changed to second-class county. It is located in Gedong, laitong (now Taixiong), Taipan, Nansheng, Zhannong and Shidong.
In 1915, Longtang (today's Hall), Pianzhai, baiziping, bagengxi, Shidongkou, pingdiying, shijiazhai and Tanglong villages in Zhenyuan County were transferred to Taigong county.
In 1923, Taigong county was directly under the provincial government.
In 1927, the county office was renamed the county government.
On June 27, 1941, Danjiang county was withdrawn, and Taigong county was named after Taigong County in Northeast China, which was bounded by Dongshun mountain range of Danjiang River and Yangpai stream. At the same time, adjust the region and allocate the flower arrangement zone. Geyi, Lengxi, xiaoheizhai, baiyanjiao, wanrenkeng, Xinzhai, houshao, Jiusi, Sixin, tunshang, geyidazhai, Tianba lishuao in Huangping County belong to Taijiang; pingzhao, jingdongtang, jingdongao, maobiling, zhimazhai, Xinzhai in Shibing County belong to Taijiang. Wucha, Chuandong, Dalao, ganer, zhaizhang and tunzhou in Taijiang county are under the jurisdiction of Jianhe, while pingdiying, shidongbao and ganyintang are under the jurisdiction of Shibing. Taijiang county has five districts, 17 joint guarantees, 106 guarantees and 1108a guarantees.
In October 1942, Taijiang county changed its system of abandoned districts into townships, with jurisdiction over 2 towns and 13 townships.
It was restored in 1943.
In April 1944, the Leishan Administration Bureau was set up. Except Suiyang township was still under the control of Taijiang River, the area that was originally divided from Leishan into Taijiang river was rezoned back to Leishan. Taijiang governs 10 townships.

Taijiang was liberated on December 3, 1949. Taijiang county has three districts and 10 towns. The countryside follows the Baojia system and is subordinate to Zhenyuan district.
In January 1953, Taijiang county was changed into "Taijiang Miao Autonomous Region", which was subordinate to Zhenyuan special region, and 10 towns were divided into 44 small towns.
In April 1954, Taijiang Miao Autonomous Region was changed into Taijiang Miao Autonomous County. The first, second and third districts were changed into Taigong District, Shidong district and Gedong district.
In July 1956, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture was established. In December, Taijiang Miao Autonomous County was changed into Taijiang county.
In September 1958, five people's communes were set up in Taijiang County, including Qianjin (in Taigong), Xuguang (in Nangong), Xingfu (in Geyi), Qingjiang (in Shidong) and Heping (in Gedong).
In December 1958, Taijiang was merged into Jianhe county. In May 1962, Taijiang county was restored. Taijiang county has 11 people's communes, under which there is a production brigade. In January 1963, Taijiang County adjusted its administrative divisions, dividing 11 communes into 29 communes, and restoring Taigong, Shidong and Gedong districts.
In 1968, the district system was abolished and 29 communes were merged into 10 communes. In April 1970, the district system was restored and 10 communes were changed into 28 small communes.
In April 1984, Nangong district was added and villages and towns were set up in the abandoned commune. Taijiang county has jurisdiction over four districts and 28 towns. In December 1991, Taijiang County implemented the policy of removing districts, building towns and merging townships. Taijiang county has jurisdiction over nine townships, and the village organization system remains unchanged.
In 2003, Jianhe county was relocated due to the construction of Sanbanxi power station. According to the instructions of the higher authorities, Gedong town of Taijiang county was assigned to Jianhe. So far, Taijiang county has eight townships.
