According to he jiuzai, a local old man, the bridge was built 300 years ago. At that time, there was a wooden bridge in pengyong, which was repaired and damaged repeatedly. Later, the villagers had an idea. They split the hollow bamboo pole, filled it with soil, put it on the river, and led the air roots of banyan trees on the opposite bank, and then inserted it into the ground. As time goes by, the longer the banyan root grows, the stronger it becomes. The villagers make it a bridge. They put boards on it and it becomes a bridge.

What's more interesting is that when the villagers used banyan roots as bridges, they also used two banyan roots as bridge railings, one on each side. Now the railing on the west side of the bridge is gone. Now the eastern side of the bridge fence, about 50 cm high from the bridge deck, passes through the round hole of the stone column at the opposite end of the bridge and goes straight underground. The thick part of the bridge fence is 60 mm in diameter. Local residents usually like to sit on it to enjoy the cool and talk. But cars and motorcycles are not allowed to cross the bridge, because it will damage the Shusheng bridge.

There is a large memorial archway in front of rongguishushengqiao Park, on which workers engrave a couplet. The first couplet is: pengshuizhuanglong invites Mingyue, and the second couplet is: Green banyan trees and ancient bridges. There are three huge ancient banyan trees in the park. Each tree is as thick as a huge column. The smallest one needs two people to embrace. The leaves spread out to all sides, like a huge green umbrella. The leaves are small oval, green and lush. There are various parasitic plants on the trees. Looking at the bottom of the bridge, there are three strong roots of Qi, one of which stretches to the opposite bank in a zigzag way, like an actor stretching his body dancing. It's very interesting. The thickest bridge bone formed by banyan tree is 30 cm in diameter, like a boa constrictor. The root of the tree hovered on the stone slab like a snake.

In the river at the bottom of the bridge, there are colorful fish and shrimp, and occasionally some fat carp. They are "entertaining" leisurely. On the surface of the river, there are colorful floating lotus, red, purple and yellow At a glance, it was dazzling. Several children are playing in the river, competing and swimming with the fish. Fight a water fight with your partner, compete in diving On the bank, several old people sat on the armrest, chatting freely. On the other side, several young people are playing chess and chatting.

There is also a "leafless well" in the southeast of the tree. The well is narrow and deep, clear and bright. It is said that the leaves on the tree fall in the well, and soon disappear without a trace.

Shusheng bridge is a peculiar bridge made by man and nature. It's a miracle worth protecting.
