synonym
Silicified wood park generally refers to silicified wood National Geopark
Silicified wood World Geopark is a World Geopark, a popular science education base in Beijing, and a geological heritage reserve in Beijing. It is located on both sides of the Baihe River in the northeast of Yanqing City, about 100 kilometers away from the urban area.
Introduction to scenic spots
Beijing Yanqing silicified wood National World Park
It is located on both sides of the Baihe River in the northeast of Yanqing County. In spring, the mountain flowers are brilliant, the peaks are emerald in midsummer, the melons and fruits are fragrant in autumn, and the snow is covered in winter. She showed the magnificent and charming charm of nature to the world with her vigorous spirit. The park has excellent ecology, green mountains and waters, beautiful environment, cool and pleasant climate: the annual average temperature is 8.4 ℃, which is a unique tourist area in the capital.
The park starts from Tianshan Lake in the West and ends at Dishuihu in the East, with a total length of 26 km and a width of 6-8 km from north to south. It contains five scenic spots, namely, wood stone group, Dishuihu, Wulong gorge, Tianshan Lake in the Yanshan Mountain and Yunlong mountain, with a total area of 226 square kilometers. It is adjacent to Huairou in the East, Badaling Great Wall in the south, Longqing gorge in the West and Bashang grassland in the north. It is 30 kilometers away from Yanqing city and 100 kilometers away from Beijing city.
Yanqing silicified wood is mainly distributed on both sides of the Baihe River near xiadelongwan village, Qianjiadian town. It was produced in the Jurassic volcanic basin 140 million years ago. It is the largest in-situ buried, produced and displayed silicified wood group in North China. Silicified wood, also known as "wood fossil", is a valuable material object for the study of paleogeology, paleoplants and paleontology. Shen Kuo, a scientist of the Northern Song Dynasty, recorded in MengXiBiTan that "it is thousands of miles away from the Bohai Sea, and the pine turns into stone", which was confirmed by Qian Weichang. The large area, large quantity and strange shape of the wood stone group here are rare not only in China, but also in the world. In addition, the green pines, red apricots, Baihe and cooking smoke around her make up a beautiful and pleasant natural scenery.
The park contains five scenic spots (xiaokunlun geological science popularization area, central area of geopark, Wulong Canyon geological and hydrological tourist area, Yanshan Tianchi leisure resort, datan ecological demonstration area) and many geological, cultural and natural landscapes. It is the only national geopark with typical, rare and precious silicified wood groups as the main body in China.
In the central area of the Geopark, 57 fossil trees have been excavated, which are distributed in the marine sedimentary sand shale on the slopes on both sides of the Baihe River. These wood fossils are an important basis for studying the evolution of paleogeography and Paleoclimate in the Mesozoic Geological History of North China.

Formation of silicified wood
Silicified wood, also known as "stone tree", is a product of the late Middle Jurassic period. 140 million years ago, the climate here was warm and the tall trees were luxuriant. Due to volcanic eruption and sudden fracture of the stratum, the plants were buried underground. Under the environment of oxygen isolation and high temperature, after a long period of petrification, the organic matter in the wood was replaced by the siliceous ore in the groundwater, and the organic matter was removed by the crustal movement such as stratum uplift Some fossils of wood were pushed out of the ground and silicified wood was formed. Shen Kuo, a scientist of the Northern Song Dynasty, recorded in MengXiBiTan that "pines turn into stones thousands of miles away from the Bohai Sea".
scenic spot
Yanshan Tianchi
It is an artificial reservoir built on the main stream of Baihe River, with an altitude of 601 meters. It is the highest water body in Beijing, and has the reputation of "Gaoxiapinghu". It is located on the Baihebao volcano sedimentary basin, surrounded by undulating mountains, vast water surface, forest belt and quiet environment. It has a total storage capacity of 100 million cubic meters and an area of 5 million square meters. It is responsible for the water supply and regulation of Miyun reservoir, Guanting reservoir and Shisanling reservoir. In the process of water supply for Miyun reservoir, it meanders through the Geopark for 30 kilometers, creating a "patch" of the park Mulberry fields are picturesque, and the two sides of the Taiwan Strait are "hard to paint".
Dishuihu scenic spot
The name of "Dishuihu" comes from the Taoist theory of "fanghu Dongtian". In addition, there are three springs in the scenic area, which is also the origin of its name. Lingxu waterfall, pearl curtain rolling down, midsummer water roaring, just like flowing gold and jade; winter ice waterfall flying, just like Yushu Yinhua, water curtain covered cave, white stalagmites, inverted stalactites, curtain like stone, crystal clear stone belt, dazzling, forming a typical karst landscape in northern Beijing. "Zhongbei santing Zhi" records: "the tourists are pleasant to the eyes, sad and cold. Although kuanglu is stacked in three layers and Yandang in Kowloon, it is not enough to put the strange and strange things - its name is pot, which is also called square pot, cave, and the realm of immortals.". Today's Li Zixing's poem "rumengling · tianhufeibao" says: rain, rainbow, smoke trees, green water, green mountains and winding roads. Grass reflects the setting sun, ten thousand Ren cliff waterfall. Waterfall, waterfall, shock dangerous rock hanging curtain In order to provide tourists with satisfactory and thoughtful tourism services, there are also residential rooms in the scenic area, which can receive 100 guests; the restaurant in the scenic area can receive 120 guests at the same time; in addition, there are song and dance hall, chess and card room and other entertainment places, as well as boating, rainbow trout fishing, bonfire roasting and other entertainment projects.

The three pools are relatively spacious, and the four pools are upright. There is a water conservancy power station with an installed capacity of 500 kilowatts built outside Xiangtan, with an annual power generation of 140 degrees. Every flood season, the water depth of two Zhang, water beat rock, sound like thunder. It's like a battle of thousands of troops. The gentle and deep Oolong gorge is surrounded by cliffs and steep cliffs on both sides. The pools and streams in the gorge are connected. Attention to dinosaurs
The discovery of dinosaur footprints in Yanqing is about 150 million years ago
Notice that there were dinosaurs in Beijing, and there were a lot of them and they were huge. Yesterday, the Yanqing District government officially announced that a large number of dinosaur footprints from the late Jurassic about 140 million to 150 million years ago were found in the core area of Yanqing silicified wood National Geopark in Qianjiadian town. This is the first time that dinosaurs have survived in Beijing and the only dinosaur record in the capital circle of the world.
Footprints found in Geological Survey
The people's Government of Yanqing District has engaged the Geological Park (Geological Relics) investigation and evaluation research center of China University of Geosciences to conduct in-depth investigation on the distribution and characteristics of geological relics in Yanqing, so as to make academic preparation for applying for Yanqing World Geopark. During the scientific research period, a large number of dinosaur footprints were found in Yanqing silicified wood National Geopark by the scientific investigation team headed by Professor Zhang Jianping of China University of Geosciences. The dinosaur footprints are located in the south of Yanqing section of s309 line in the core area of Qianjiadian Park, and are preserved in the purple red sandstone of the third member of Upper Jurassic Tuchengzi Formation. Dinosaur footprints are located on the mountain, densely distributed from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain.
Professor Zhang Jianping said that the mountain with dinosaur footprints should have been in a horizontal position, but due to the crustal movement, some footprints rose with the mountain
