Navy Shanghai Expo
The Navy Shanghai Expo is located in Wusong military port at the mouth of the Yangtze River. It was founded in 1991. Its predecessor is the memorial hall of the Yangtze River warship on which Chairman Mao Zedong rode.

General situation
On February 19, 1953, Chairman Mao Zedong inspected the people's Navy warships for the first time. During the voyage from Wuhan to Nanjing on the "Yangtze River" warship, Chairman Mao wrote inscriptions successively for the "Yangtze River" and "Luoyang" warships: "in order to oppose imperialist aggression, we must build a strong navy." To commemorate this significant inspection activity, the Navy Party committee decided to build a memorial hall for the "Changjiang" ship in Wusong, Shanghai, after the ship retired. In 1991, the Navy East China Sea Fleet built the Chinese Navy History Museum at the original site of the memorial. On November 21, 1992, when visiting the museum, Comrade Jiang Zemin instructed that "we should build this place into a base for the education of youth's patriotism and national defense concept", and gladly inscribed the name of the museum. In 1996, it was jointly named "national patriotic education base for primary and secondary schools" by the State Education Commission, the Ministry of civil affairs, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of culture, the State Administration of cultural relics and the General Political Department of the people's Liberation Army; in 2001, it was named "national patriotic education demonstration base" by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee.
Covering an area of 18000 square meters, the exhibition hall includes seven pavilions, including the main exhibition hall, the Museum of marine science popularization and art, the Naval History Museum, the Naval Weapons Museum, and the live ammunition shooting Museum for small arms, as well as the Shanghai Baoshan naval cadet. The exhibition hall carries out patriotism, national defense view and ocean view education for young students through pictures, words and objects.

Hall a of the Chinese Navy history museum is an ancient part, which shows the ancient Chinese Navy's 2000 years of water war since its birth in the late spring and Autumn period, and Zheng He's voyages to the West and Zheng He's successful recovery of Taiwan, indicating that the ancient Chinese navy is among the advanced in the world; Hall B is a modern part, which shows the bumpy experience and tragic ending of the Chinese Navy's transition to near modernization after the Opium War.
The contemporary Naval History Museum, based on a brief history of the East China Sea fleet, shows the growth and expansion process of the people's Navy since its birth in April 3, 1949: 866 operations, the liberation of many islands, the first voyage of the South Pacific to carry out long-range rocket flight experiments, patrol and defend Spratly Islands, and visit three countries in South Asia, and strive to advance on the road of revolution, modernization and regularization.
The Museum of marine art displays works of art with the theme of Navy from ancient times to the present. With a large number of ceramic works, calligraphy and paintings, stone carvings, wood carvings, and other works of art and pictures, it has enriched the essence of marine art from the Banpo culture era to the thousands of years in twenty-first Century. It has vividly demonstrated the magnificent view and ocean customs of our 3 million square kilometers of marine land, proving to the world the origin of marine civilization and human lifeline.
The Naval Ordnance museum displays torpedoes, speedboats and various naval guns that have participated in naval battles. In the form of physical model, picture and video, the live ammunition shooting gallery of light weapons vividly displays the commonly used weapons of the Navy and various aircraft models designed and built by China, and introduces the development process and actual combat use of various kinds of light weapons. There are five standard pistol, rifle live fire target, let you experience the fun of using weapons.
In the outdoor exhibition area, there are also the "Seahawk" hero boat, which has created the miracle of sinking Kuomintang warships with single boat and single thunder, which is unique in the history of world naval warfare, the jian-6 aircraft which has repeatedly shot down Kuomintang fighters and won numerous achievements, and the two type 59 anti-aircraft guns and SY-1 shipborne missiles of enemy aircraft in the air combat to seize the coastal air supremacy.
The marine rare shells museum is an exhibition hall integrating marine rare shells, marine knowledge popularization and marine environmental protection publicity. The museum collects and exhibits nearly 3000 kinds of shells with different shapes and colors from different countries and sea areas. It is the only long-term shell exhibition hall in Shanghai.
Patriotism Education Base
In accordance with the requirements for national defense education issued by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China and the instructions of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission on strengthening the quality education of students, Shanghai Baoshan naval junior military academy organizes students to carry out the education of national defense concept and ocean concept with patriotism as the theme, carries out military training activities and studies of military skills and knowledge, builds up the image externally, strengthens the quality internally, and encourages students to carry forward patriotism At the same time, it can provide venues and help for military training, military summer camp and other activities according to the characteristics of young people.

With full and accurate historical materials, the Naval History Museum introduces the history of ancient Chinese Navy, which came into being at the end of the spring and Autumn period more than 2500 years ago, with the needs of shipbuilding and navigation technology and the war of warlords for hegemony. It shows the magnificent historical chapters of Zheng He's seven voyages to the west, Qi Jiguang's pacification of Japanese pirates, Zheng Chenggong's recovery of Taiwan, etc., and shows the hundred year history of humiliation of the old China after the 19th century. Relying on the Shanghai naval Expo, the Naval Academy has a complete set of facilities for training, study and accommodation for 500 students. It can carry out military training, "military summer camp", "14th birthday", "18th adult ceremony" and other theme activities according to the characteristics of teenagers, and has a standardized military training teaching team.
