Luo Xingzhou

Luoxingzhou is a holy land integrating Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. It is located in the east of Tongli town. It is a temple built on water. It only takes a few minutes to get there by boat. Along the way, you can enjoy the vast scenery of Tongli lake. Looking around, you can see the famous luoxingzhou temple, just like a fairyland floating on the blue waves. 　

At present, there are Chenghuang hall, Wenchang Pavilion, Doumu Pavilion, dry boat, quqiao, Youmiao, Hechi, yulechi, etc. in luoxingzhou, the architectural layout is compact, integrating temples and gardens. Whenever the sun goes down, you can see the lights of Tongli lake from the island, which has a unique artistic conception. In addition, the annual Luotian Festival from the first day of the lunar calendar to the tenth day of the lunar calendar also attracted many devout men and women to pray for blessings and worship.

Luo Xingzhou

Luoxingzhou is a small island at the entrance of dongtongli lake, Tongli Town, Wujiang City, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It appears on the lake surface of about four square kilometers and is famous for its misty and rainy scenery. It's named after the surrounding reed clumps, which look like Luoxing.

Architectural structure

Entering the mountain gate is a courtyard. The front of Guandi hall is solemn and quiet. Behind the hall is a spacious courtyard. Through the courtyard is the main part of the island Guanyin hall. The hall is a two-story double eaves building with magnificent shape and momentum. The bottom floor of the hall is surrounded by a wide corridor, and a small pavilion is built behind the hall. To the south of the temple is a garden, which is made up of an arc-shaped bank. There are water pavilions, dry boats, curved bridges and other buildings around the pool. The winding corridor separates the palace from the garden from the west to the East, which is the background of the garden. The veranda has a relatively high terrain, which can clearly overlook the lake and the pavilions in the garden.

Around the island's embankment, reed swaying, weeping willow Yiyi, walking on it, you can enjoy the lake. Every summer and autumn, the graceful lotus in the pool attracts many tourists.

The most charming thing about luoxingzhou is listening to the rain. Listening to the rain in luoxingzhou is the most desirable enjoyment of ancient literati. The sound of rain in luoxingzhou is sometimes bleak, sometimes mellow, sometimes weeping, sometimes high and exciting. When the light rain gently beats the plantain and tile ridge on the lake and the island, it is like a moist and sweet Waltz; when the heavy rain severely beats the reeds and trees on the lake and the island, it is like a solemn and stirring symphony. Listening to the rain in luoxingzhou will bring you endless fun.

Mr. Liu Yazi once wrote a poem "inscription on walls of luoxingzhou": "a futon appears on the terrace, and the autumn reeds trace back; he remembers the poem of Chuanshan, and the white lotus opens for the beauty."

history

According to historical records, the earliest buildings on luoxingzhou began in the Yuan Dynasty and were rebuilt in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. The island is surrounded by levees, gardens in the South and temples in the north. Facing the ancient town, the Mountain Gate overhangs the gate of "luoxingzhou" with large characters carved in Yin script on both sides of "Penglai fairyland". There is a stone Wharf in front of the mountain gate for ships to dock. Two beech trees of hundreds of years are lush and towering. Luo Xingzhou is famous for its smoky rain landscape, and its "listening to rain in Luoli" has been listed as one of the 20 scenic spots in Tongli in history.

Unfortunately, Luo Xingzhou was burned by the Japanese in April 1938. At that time, a national army plainclothes team of more than 100 people attacked the Japanese troops stationed in Tongli and immediately retreated. The Japanese reinforcements could not catch any people, so they were angry at the lush trees on luoxingzhou. They said that these trees blocked the view and ordered them to be burned. As a result, the trees and buildings on the island were destroyed.

In April 1996, the people's Government of Tongli town rebuilt luoxingzhou, and in April 1998, luoxingzhou was once again magnificent.

Traffic information: take a boat at luoxingzhou Wharf (take a battery car at tuisiyuan about 2 / person). The free boat is about 20 minutes and the journey is 5 minutes. Speedboat 10 yuan per person.

Luoxingzhou is the farthest scenic spot in Tongli ancient town. You need to take a tricycle or a battery car (sightseeing bus) to get there, and then take a cruise ship to luoxingzhou. It's absolutely impossible to walk.
