Oboo sacrifice
For hundreds of years, local herdsmen have always respected and worshipped Aobao, which is inherited by their own family or tribe. Every year on the grassland, there are various activities of Oboo sacrifice. gegentala grassland
Since ancient times, the Mongolian people have passed on and promoted the moral concept of harmony between adults and nature through the annual ceremonious sacrifice of Oboo "gods", so as to further unify and standardize people's ecological moral consciousness. Everyone regards reverence for life, cherishing ecology and harmonious nature as their bounden duty.
Every May 13 of the lunar calendar is a long-standing large-scale memorial day for this Obo, and the whole sacrificial ceremony is still carried out in accordance with the traditional etiquette. On the first day, the Oboo will be decorated in an all-round way, including the gugeli (Mongolian horse mane) of suluding, the symbol of the soul of Oboo, the fresh branches on the top of Oboo and the colorful zippers. On the day of sacrifice, the herdsmen who have been sacrificing this Oboo for generations, dressed in festival costumes and supporting the old and the young, come from all directions early in the morning and put the cooked whole sheep and milk food brought from home on the sacrifice platform. Then the heads of households burn incense, hold up lamps, and tie hada on the colorful zipper, which means to report to the gods of Oboo. gegentala grassland
The "gegenchagan OBO" worshipped by the tourist center originally belonged to the ancient tribe zazazak OBO worshipped by local herdsmen. It was once enlightened by the master of bojiao (Shamanism). Later, the Buddhist eminent monks incorporated a charm into the Obo, which is an authentic OBO with "spirituality". In order to fully display the charm of ancient OBO culture, the tourism center is expanded according to the OBO rules formed in the Yuan Dynasty, that is, with the old OBO as the core, 12 unified small OBOS are distributed on the circumference of the rules, surrounded by the main OBO. Mongolian people have always advocated the number of "13", which is not only the starting point of success, but also the symbol of good luck. This Oboo composed of "13" has a profound meaning, "10" is an integer, which means integration, "3" is a total, which represents the unity of heaven, earth and man, and symbolizes the perfect power of heaven. According to the idea of "heaven has 99 heaven, and human beings are in harmony with each other for years", 99 lamp holders are made on the stone wall of the main Obo, which reflects the perfection of its ternary structure and the style and power of the orthodox OBO in the Yuan Dynasty.
At the end of the sacrificial ceremony, all the people held up the bucket and continued to shout "Hu Ruiai". They turned around OBO three times in a clockwise direction, which means that the God of OBO made them communicate with heaven and earth in spirit, and got close to nature again, indicating their gratitude.
At the beginning of the sacrificial ceremony, the Buddhist masters beat drums and leaped out to chant the heaven worship poems inherited by the Buddhist religion, praying for the eternal grace of heaven, enriching the earth and keeping away from evil. At the same time, the lamas played music and recited their Sutra "namdagesang" to pray for the peace and happiness of the world. At this moment, the herdsmen prayed to the gods of heaven and earth with great piety: good weather, prosperity of human beings and animals, and frequently raised the bucket or substitute food in their hands, swayed clockwise, and chanted "hurui AI" (God's blessing favors you, me, him and all creatures in the World).
