Introduction to former residence
Martyr Li Bai, born in 1910, joined the Communist Party of China in 1925. From 1945 to 1948, he was sent to Shanghai to work as a secret radio station. He lived with his wife Qiu Huiying and her son on the third floor of the north house, with a total area of 27 square meters. The underground secret radio station of the party is set up in a small pavilion. He was arrested on December 29, 1948 when the newspaper was officially published and killed secretly on May 7, 1949.
In November 1985, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government approved the former residence of martyr Li Bai as a municipal cultural relics protection unit. In February 1986, the District Cultural Bureau was mainly responsible for the renovation and building preparation of the former residence. On May 7, 1987, it was officially opened to the public. Chen Yunwei inscribed the name of his former residence, which is under the management of Hongkou District Cultural Bureau.

1、 Second, fight in the heart of the enemy; third, never die of radio waves.
There is a statue of martyr Li Bai in the hall. In the exhibition room, there are 10 precious historical photos, calenders that Li Bai stepped on when he was young, and oil lamps for his sister.
On the second floor are displayed some of Li Bai's telecommunications tools, wooden escalators made by himself, four letters written by the martyrs to their families, and 36 precious historical photos.
The third floor has been restored to its original appearance according to Qiu Huiying's memory. In the living room, there are Li Bai's used cupboard, chest of drawers, sofa, leather case and bamboo basket.
A letter from the martyrs
This is the first time that the family of martyr Li Bai has collected it from his hometown and displayed it to the public. This is also the first letter that our newspaper has obtained since the beginning of the activity of collecting "letters from home in the war" with East TV and dongfang.com.
During the Anti Japanese War, Li Bai wrote many letters to his hometown to report peace. At that time, the revolutionary environment was complex, and Li Bai established the first secret radio station in Shanghai, which threatened his life at any time. However, in his family letter, there is no mention of this, leaving only an ordinary son's concern for his family.
The country attic finds the letter
This letter, which has been dusty in his hometown for more than 60 years, was written by Li Bai under the pseudonym of Li Jing'an to his father. It can be seen from the vaguely recognizable postmark that it was 1943, when the Japanese army frantically searched for underground radio stations, and the situation in Shanghai was very tense. According to Li Hengsheng, Li Bai's son, Li Bai had just been released from prison and was working as a clerk in Liangyou candy store. Li Bai said in the letter that he missed his parents and brothers and sisters in Liuyang, Hunan Province, and that he had a small business in Shanghai.
At that time, Li Bai was imprisoned in the Japanese military police department in the north of Sichuan North Road and bridge due to radio exposure. He was tortured and still watched by the enemy after he came out. However, until his death, his relatives in his hometown did not know that he was engaged in the dangerous work of secret radio. Li Hengsheng told reporters that his father didn't leave much remains. He didn't expect that when he returned to his hometown some time ago, his 89 year old Uncle Li Huaqing dug out the letter and his father's clothes from the attic.
Educational significance
The former residence also set up a video room to show the reports of the martyr's wife Qiu Huiying recalling the martyrs' fighting deeds, which became a base for ideological education of students.

Thoughts on visiting "former residence of martyr Li Bai"
From Duolun Road to Liyang road in Hongkou District, there are many revolutionary historical buildings and memorial halls. Many revolutionary martyrs and cultural celebrities have fought and lived here. In an inconspicuous path, there is a memorial hall for revolutionary martyr Li Bai on Huangdu road.
On the 60th anniversary of martyr Li Bai's death, I visited the "former residence of martyr Li Bai" inscribed by Comrade Chen Yun with reverence for martyrs. This is a 400 square meter western style house. From the first floor to the third floor, there are three parts of pictures and objects, which are "join the revolutionary flood", "fight in the heart of the enemy" and "never die radio wave". This paper systematically introduces the life and combat achievements of martyr Li Bai. Martyr Li Bai was the earliest telegraph operator of the Red Army of Chinese workers and peasants. After the Long March, he was sent to Shanghai in Yanan to take charge of the secret contact between the Shanghai organization of the Communist Party of China and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He directed the struggle of the Shanghai party organization against the enemy through radio. The conditions were very difficult. He was arrested by the Japanese aggressors and the Kuomintang four times. He was brave and indomitable, and would rather die than surrender. He showed the excellent quality of a communist. On the eve of victory, he was arrested at the end of 1948 and killed at Qijia temple in Pudong on May 7, 1949. The film "the never fading radio wave" based on his deeds has aroused the admiration of countless people for the heroic struggle of the martyrs. Especially for young people played a very good patriotic education. Looking at the radio station, transmitter, telecommunication equipment and tools on display in the museum. People can't help but think of the scene of Li Bai fighting bravely for the victory of the revolution 60 years ago.
After visiting the exhibition hall, we will ask why the revolutionary martyrs shed blood on their heads? Is it not for the happiness of future generations? How to take over the guns of revolutionary martyrs and complete the unfinished revolutionary cause of revolutionary martyrs is not the responsibility of later generations? Now that we are living in a new era of reform and opening up, we should think about the past in the name of revolution and continue and carry forward the glorious tradition of revolutionary martyrs. We should hold high the great red flag of socialism with Chinese characteristics and do our work well under the guidance of the scientific outlook on development to comfort the heroes who gave their lives to the revolution. We solemnly swear to the Martyrs: we will inherit the revolutionary cause for which you gave your life, never live up to your ardent expectations, always and everywhere with your revolutionary spirit to spur and inspire our fighting spirit, build a prosperous motherland with our blood, and plant red flags with your blood all over China and even the world! Revolutionary martyrs are immortal!
