Kuixing building
Kuixinglou is located in the west corner of huanbi Park, Lujiang County, Hefei City, Anhui Province.
Kuixing is one of the twenty-eight constellations in ancient astronomy. In mythology, it is the God that dominates the rise and fall of articles. Kuixing tower (Pavilion) was built to offer sacrifices and pray for a place.
Development history
Kuixing tower in Lujiang River was built in 1686 by Li Yanfang, then the county magistrate. Kuixing tower was built in the north of the city, behind Wenchang palace. At the beginning of Xianfeng, the Taiping army attacked Lujiang and fought three battles with the Qing army stationed in the city. Finally, in 1854, the Taiping army lost its position (Wu Tingxiang, the father of Wu Changqing, the general of Huai army, died in the battle). The Taiping army occupied Lujiang city and Kuixing tower was destroyed in the war. In 1868, Huang guangbin, the magistrate of Lujiang County, began to deal with the war wounds in the county, and once again advocated the construction of Kuixing tower. Owing to financial difficulties, Huang Zhi county asked pan Dingxin, then governor of Guangxi (now from Guohe Town, Lujiang County, Anhui Province), for help. Pan Dingxin was born in Juren. He was a scholar in the National History Museum. I was very happy to learn that Kuixing building was to be rebuilt in my hometown. I immediately decided to donate it as a sole proprietorship, and proposed to relocate it to the side of huanbiyuan on the left side of the Confucian temple. When building the building, pan Dingxin sent his staff to Fengcheng, Jiangxi Province, and hired Zhang Yufeng, the master of building construction, to preside over the building. For some reason, Zhang sent his son Zhang Xiaofeng to supervise the building. Zhang Xiaofeng took two years to build Huishan building, a famous building in Guangdong Province. The building is three Zhang and two feet high. It has three floors and six sides. The eaves are tilted, the bells are hanging, and the tiles are filled with beasts. On the top floor of the building, there is a statue of Kuixing diandou, holding a pearl pen in one hand and pointing at the foot in the other, implying that the land at the foot will always be prosperous. Visitors can view the beautiful scenery of Yefu mountain from afar and the panoramic view of huanbi garden from near. In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), the people of the county changed the pottery roof of the building to tin roof when they repaired it again. The top is 9 feet high and gourd shaped. It is made of 672.5 Jin tin, which was invented by the famous tin craftsman Wang. After the installation of the tin roof, the red walls and green tiles of the tower are set off in the sun, and the purple glow is dazzling. Kuixing building in Lujiang River is known as the famous building of Jianghuai river.

Fortunately, Lujiang County Party committee and government attach great importance to the construction of cultural Lujiang. With the donation of Mr. Xiao Rongsheng, a Lujiang student and successful entrepreneur, the new Kuixing building, with a total investment of 3 million yuan, broke ground in August 2010 and was completed in July 2011.
At 10:00 a.m. on August 8, 2011, the Kuixing building rebuilt in Lujiang River was officially unveiled.
The total height of the reconstructed Kuixing building is 27.68 meters. The design follows the traditional shape and requirements. The octagonal three-story tile roof with a pointed roof and the top wood members are in the shape of a bucket shaped caisson. Some architectural elements and symbols of the song and Yuan Dynasties are used. At the same time, flat seats are added to meet the viewing function, and according to the environmental characteristics, the volume of Kuixing Pavilion is increased to become the composition center and landscape center of Chengdong park.
