Ta Ge an Ge

Under the dage'an Pavilion is the Dongyuan ancient ferry. It is said that this is the place where Wang Lun sent Li Bai. When Li Bai was invited by Wang Lun, he toured the peach blossom lake. When he left, Wang Lun sent him to the ferry to sing songs to see him off. In memory of the friendship between Li Bai and Wang Lun, later generations called the Dongyuan ancient ferry "the ancient shore of singing songs". In the Ming Dynasty, local people built the "Dage Pavilion" on the bank, which was rebuilt in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and rebuilt in the early Republic of China.

The pavilion is divided into two layers. The bottom layer is the passageway. The entrance to the pavilion is the main street of ancient Nanyang Town, and the exit to the ferry. Upstairs, you can have a bird's-eye view of taohuatan, Wancun old street, rainbow window, WangLun tomb, Taibai building and other scenic spots on the other side.

Architectural features

The layout of TA ge'an Pavilion is simple and peculiar. The bottom floor is a straight passage. In order to facilitate passers-by to rest and wait for the boat, there are long pebble benches on both sides. The facade of Xiangtan downstairs is specially made into a solid wall for the frame view, with only a semicircle in the upper part and a flat door opening in the lower part, so that passers-by can focus their attention on taohuatan. One end of the street is open to the side step, so that the higher and turning street does not appear closed. On the side of the building facing the river and the pool is a windowsill type railing, which can be used to rest and overlook; on the side facing the street, the shrine blocks the view. The steps for going upstairs are set on both sides and separated from the passage in the middle with solid walls, so they do not interfere with each other. The strangest part of the plane arrangement is that the wall of the pavilion is tilted in the upstream direction, and it is intended to cut the corners away, so that people can cast their eyes to the rainbow upstream of the jade fairy pier on the opposite bank of the river, and the scenic spots of the hidden scenic spot extend unlimitly, so that people can enjoy the essence of the natural landscape in the peach blossom pool scenery. On the other hand, a solid wall outside the pavilion stretches out four or five meters from the downstream, forming a high platform of the city wall to block people's sight away from taohuatan scenic spot and Dongyuan ancient ferry. This makes the original symmetrical shape from the plane and facade asymmetric. In taohuatan scenic spot, which is naturally curved and has different heights, this slightly asymmetric form of plane and facade is very integrated with the surrounding environment, More in line with the natural taste than the absolute symmetry of the rigorous layout!
