Huilong tower
Huilong tower is located in the East Bank of Xiaoshui, Lingling District, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. The pagoda was built in the middle of Ming Dynasty. It is a seven point Pagoda with brick and stone structure. It is divided into five floors and is nearly 30 meters high. Inside the tower, there is a spiral ladder to the top of the tower, and there are ticket doors in the southeast, northwest and four directions of each floor. From this, you can walk out of the tower door, walk around the tower body, and overlook the surrounding scenery. The height between the flat seat of each floor and the waist eaves is not equal, which makes the facade of the tower have a rich sense of rhythm. Under the flat seat and the waist eaves, there are five towns for the Dou Gong, which is made of brick and the arch is made of stone. The shape of the Dou Gong retains the architectural style of the Song Dynasty.
Yingshan Huilong tower
It was built in 1824 by Yang Shangrong, the magistrate of Yingshan County.
1、 Three, five, seven, nine doors and windows have banners couplets. They are "Huilong tower", "pillar huilanbo clear water", "Qifeng Badi xiuqisui mountain", "Weizhen mountain and river", "Xiaoying tower", "Guangyao ziji" and "Wenyun to the sea". Nanchong Municipal People's government designated it as a municipal cultural relics protection unit in November 1994.
It is said that when Yang Shangrong of Ningyuan came to Yingshan as a county magistrate, he heard that there were many talented people in Yingshan, but he couldn't get out. He led the county officials to stand at the highest point of the county, that is, Yintai mountain outside the south gate to observe. He suddenly realized the cause and effect. The reason was that the county was like a boat, surrounded by South and North rivers in the East, West and North, and the boat couldn't reach the shore without mast. So he decided to build this Huilong tower on meijialiang in the east of the city. After the completion of the pagoda, Yingshan has produced nine Hanlin for three years in a row, which echoes with the nine storey banner "Wenyun going to sea". Yunfeng academy, the primary school attached to Yingshan Normal University, was built with materials for building pagodas.
In order to fully tap the cultural and commercial value of the park and promote the eastward expansion of the city, Yingshan County decided to plan and build the Baita Park in the implementation of the comprehensive renovation of the north and South rivers and the transformation project of Baita shantytown.
Huilong tower
According to Lingling county annals, "because of the vast water in the county, LV Huo donated money to build the Dragon pagoda back here to deter the flood." At present, there are four characters "Huilong pagoda" in the gate. It is a key cultural relic under provincial protection.
story
According to Yongzhou Fu Zhi, during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, LV Huo, a senior official from Lingling, was an important member of the imperial court When we visited Lingling, we found that the countryside was desolate and people were hungry, so we came to the people to learn about the situation. The common people said: it's all an evil dragon in Xiaoshui. It's said that the evil dragon in Xiaoshui is lazy and does bad things. In the first half of every year, it takes part in the martial arts competition held in Donghai dragon palace. According to the rule of the Dragon King, the winning dragon can stay in the East China Sea and enjoy the glory and wealth of the Dragon Palace. The losing dragon will return to the original place and continue to practice. This evil dragon has participated in the competition for more than ten years and has lost miserably every year. When he came back to Xiaoshui, he became angry and lost his temper, which made Xiaoshui flood, flooded the fields, flooded the houses and harmed the people of Yongzhou. A geomantic omen gentleman said that Yongzhou is a land of dragons, which is gratifying. But with such an evil dragon, Yongzhou is a treasure land that cannot live in peace. If Yongzhou is to be peaceful, a pagoda must be built by the river to suppress the evil spirit of evil dragon. As a governor, LV Huo can't be indifferent to people's vivid narration. In order to make the people of his hometown live and work in peace and contentment, Lu Huo generously donated a lot of money and invited skilled craftsmen to build the pagoda on the East Bank of Xiaoshui. After the pagoda was completed, the evil dragon was much more tamed. It devoted itself to the cultivation of Taoism, and did a lot of good things for the wild of Yongzhou. Whenever there was a rainstorm or a flood, it actively dredged the river to drain water. Whenever drought crops needed rain, it took the opportunity to inhale the natural water into its belly, and then flew to the heaven to spit it out and irrigate the dry land The crops and trees of Yongzhou make the wild grain rich and the forest luxuriant. Donghai Dragon King learned that Xiaolong had done a lot of good things for the common people, and called him back to the Dragon Palace to become a master. On the day Bruce Lee returned to the East China Sea, people prepared three animals and nine gifts to send him off. Because of Yongzhou's unique mountains, waters and natural treasures, Bruce Lee was reluctant to part with them. When he arrived at Xiangkou Pavilion, Bruce Lee raised his head out of the water, looked back at the pagoda standing in the sun, and then went to the Dragon Palace in the East China Sea. Later, people called this pagoda Huilong pagoda. The stone plaque of "dragon pagoda" is embedded above the town gate facing south at the bottom of the pagoda. It is inscribed by Chen Sheng, a Fujian man who is the censor of youjindu of Huguang, another imperial governor. The handwriting is so elegant that people who have met it will never forget it.
