position
It is located in the bamboo forest at the northwest corner of Wangjianglou Park in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The main body is composed of a tomb, a tombstone and a platform for the foundation of the tomb.
brief introduction
The diameter of the tomb is about three meters. It is made of three layers of red sand stones to form a circular foundation. The ring tomb is a one meter wide platform. The stone slab is used to form a ring tomb path. The tomb and the platform form a whole, and the visual effect is very good. As for the shape of the stele, it was originally designed as a relief Yuntou stele. Later, a wind eroded ancient stele was found in the park, with a height of 1.58 meters and a width of 0.82 meters. The word "Wanli" of the Ming Dynasty can be seen on the top right of the stele. Therefore, it is a Ming stele. The first word of the middle text is 1.1 horizontal and 1.5 oblique, which is similar to the Tang character. It is supposed to be Xue Hongdu's tombstone of the Tang girls' school. The shape of the stele was referred to in the redesign And size, forming the present tomb shape. On the front of the present monument, the eight characters of "Xue Hongdu's tomb in Tang girls' school" were inscribed by Liu Bingqian, a famous calligrapher in Sichuan Province, in October 1994. The "reconstruction of Xue Tao's tombstone" on the back of the stone was written by Liu Tianwen, vice president of Xue Tao Research Association of Sichuan Province.
Conceptual layout
According to Confucianism and Taoism, the layout of Xue Tao's tomb is that the sky is round and the place is round, the wall is square, and the tomb is round, implying that the poetess can rest in the world and be remembered by the world forever. According to the poem of Zheng Gu, a poet at the end of the Tang Dynasty, "there are many peach trees planted around Xue Tao's tomb. According to the poem of Zheng Chengji, a poet in the early Qing Dynasty, "there were no peach blossoms in the past, but now there are tears in the bamboos.". Therefore, peach blossom and green bamboo are planted beside Xue Tao's tomb to commemorate this outstanding poetess.
Where is Xue Tao's soul
In the fifth year of Taihe period, an autumn evening in 832 ad, Xue Tao, a talented woman, died. At the age of 65, Xue Tao closed her lonely eyes forever. Duan Wenchang, the Jiedu envoy of Jiannan at that time, inscribed an epitaph for her, and engraved "the tomb of Xue Tao Hongdu, the script of Xichuan women's school" on her tombstone. So far, the script of Xichuan women's school has really become the alias of Xue Tao. However, there is no clear historical record of where he was buried. Zhang Pengzhou, a former Shanghai Ta Kung Pao reporter, devoted his whole life to studying Xue Tao. According to the poem of Zheng Gu, a poet in the late Tang Dynasty, "Zhu Yuan, Qingjiang River, green mat pattern, peach blossoms around Xue Tao's grave, Zhu Bridge pointing straight to Jinmen road and high battlements." It is believed that Xue Tao's tomb should be on the Bank of Jinjiang River to the east of Wangjiang tower. Of course, some scholars believe that Xue Tao lived in Huanhua River in the west of the city in his later years. According to common sense, they should also be buried in the west of the city. Since there is no written record, of course, the possibility of being buried in the east of the city is not ruled out. In hongduji written by Guiyang poet Chen Ju in the late Qing Dynasty, it is said that "the tomb goes to the well and is next to the people's house". In Li Shuxun's record of Xue Tao's grave, it is recorded that "the river tower goes to two or three li to the south, and the barren long still leaves one loaf of earth." it can be seen that Xue Tao's tomb is two or three li away from Xue Tao's well at most. Before the 1960s, the campus of Sichuan University, just a wall away from Wangjianglou Park, once had Xue Tao's tomb with a tombstone. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in ten years of turmoil and there was no trace of it, leaving endless regret for us to decipher its authenticity.
