Today, there are four old buildings in the campus: administration building, Puzi building, auditorium and cultural hall. Among the four old buildings, the location of the auditorium and the cultural assembly hall is just in line with the "left Green Dragon" and "right white tiger" in the traditional Chinese architecture Fengshui. According to their status, they are ranked in the order of superiority and inferiority. Along with the old trees, they shape the context space with equal emphasis on humanity and nature on campus.

Historical development
During the period of Japanese occupation, there were normal schools in Taiwan, but they were only limited to the training of primary education teachers, and the training of secondary and higher education teachers, and the education at that time could not meet the needs of the Second World War. At that time, the office of the chief executive decided to set up a teacher's college. On June 5, 1946, the Taiwan Provincial teacher's college was officially established on the site of the former Taiwan Provincial Taipei high school.
In 1946, Taiwan Provincial Normal University was established in Taipei, with Li Jigu as the first president.
In the spring of 1955, the Education Department of the Taiwan authorities followed Chiang Kai Shek's instruction to reform education and carried out the policy of "teachers first, teachers first". In Taiwan's administrative agency, Minister Zhang Qichen proposed that Taiwan's provincial teachers' college should be transformed into a university. The news spread and won the attention and support of public opinion. On June 5, it was officially transformed into Taiwan Provincial Normal University, with three colleges of education, arts and science.
In June 1967, in order to "unify the cultivation of teachers for the convenience of supervision and assessment" and in line with the principle of separation of provinces and cities, the Taiwan authorities approved that on July 1, when Taipei city was transformed into a city under its jurisdiction, four colleges of education, arts, science and art were set up for the purpose of cultivating teachers for all secondary schools in Taiwan. Since the implementation of the "teacher training law" in 1994, the Taiwan authorities have adopted a diversified policy for teacher training. In response to the impact, schools have actively transformed and developed into comprehensive universities. In addition to the original relevant departments to cultivate middle school teachers, new departments are added to meet the needs of the development of higher education and social changes
