Tianya mountain

Tianya mountain is composed of Tianya peak and Lianhua peak. Between the steep peaks, there are huge rocks protruding like stone drums, so it is commonly known as shigu mountain. Located in Tianya mountain scenic area.

Wufeng mountain is located in the north of Shigu mountain. Perhaps because Wufeng mountain and shigu mountain are very dangerous and difficult to climb, people call Wufeng mountain Dijiao and shigu mountain Tianya. In the Tang Dynasty, someone once came here and wrote a poem that "ten years, the horse knows how much, twice to the ends of the earth", which shows that the names of "ends of the earth" and "ends of the earth" have a long history.

There is a strange stone called stone drum in the south of Lianhua Mountain. According to the county annals, "there are stones in Tianya mountain, which are like drums. They do not need to be carved into utensils. Instead, they should be viewed like gardens. The drum is not a Ge Sheng sound. From the stones, the elegant music of Qingxu comes out, and the passing of dust is like harmony." Yuan Haowen, the poet, praised him in his poem, saying: "the mountain spirit hammer and stone drum are set up, and the Han female Xiangfei sings and dances."

Introduction to scenic spots

At the foot of Lianhua Mountain, there is the stone drum shrine, a famous ancient temple in Yuanping City. According to the county annals: in the Yuan Dynasty, there was the Yan family, wife of Zhang Xianzhi. Yan was good at giving alms to the poor. He built a medicine house beside the main road at the foot of Lianhua Mountain and offered it to the gods of jiezitui in Mianshan. One night, I heard people's voice and horse hissing. I heard it through the window and answered, "Jieshen garrison." The next day, the horse's hoof mark was found on the stone in the courtyard. Later, the sheyaoyuan was changed into jieshenxinggong, the predecessor of Shigu temple. The inscription on the existing tablet of Shigu hall is "the fourth year of Yanyou reign of the state of Da Yuan". It is certain that the shrine was founded in the Yuan Dynasty at the latest.

Shigu temple is rectangular in shape from the north to the south, with more than 20 buildings, all of which are relics of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. One hundred meters in front of the cave, there is a wooden archway. Four to three eaves. In front of the mountain gate, there are two flagpoles, a pair of stone lions and the second floor of bells and drums. First into the courtyard, North for the hall,. South is the stage, left and right the Zen room. In the second entrance, there are three main halls with a plaque of "loyalty and filial piety", which is the main building of the temple. Inside the hall, there is a statue of Jie Zitui and his mother. There are four East and four West halls. On the third day of March every year, there is a traditional temple fair of Shigu temple, which is always celebrated by singing operas. Merchants gathered, materials exchange, more than 10000 people rushed to the meeting.

Around the shigu temple, there are also stone falls, Hutuo swallowing, early planting and late harvest, Tianya snow sweeping and other landscapes.

In 2011, Yuanping City invested funds to expand (repair) the scenic area, and built new altars, squares, Avalokitesvara, pavilions, scenic roads, greening, etc. at the foot of Tianya mountain.

Landscape features

Tianya mountain is a ring-shaped mountain range. In the embrace of the mountain, there is a prominent part. I don't know what its name is. It's like a bare jade foot. Its shape is really like a person's five toes. The five toes are bare, as if they were made in heaven. There is no impurity. They are bright in the sunshine. Further down, there is a protruding hill. The mountain is also bare, just like a whole block of stone. There is a pavilion on the top of the hill. Few visitors are there. To the east of the hill, there is a hanging stone stick, which is like a stone hammer. Local people call it stone drum, because there is a bluestone under the stone hammer, which is stone drum. At the foot of the mountain is a small temple, with front hall and back hall for the Grand Prince. It is said that it has a small reputation in the local area. Many believers come here to worship Buddha. Every year during the Qingming Festival, there is an ancient temple meeting here. At that time, it is also a bustling place. The gate of the small temple is very common. There are three big characters "shigu Temple" on the top of the middle gate. Colleagues heard that there is a spring here, which is very famous, but they haven't found it for a long time. When they came back to the city, they asked the local people to know that there is a spring here, which is called "lao'er spring". It is said that as long as the woman who wants to have a son fishes something out of the spring with her hand, and then carries it in her arms, she will be pregnant with a boy. It's just a legend. Next to the gate of the temple, there is a wooden fence, in which there is an imitation white horse. I don't know what the purpose is. I wonder if it has some origin with the White Horse Temple in Henan Province

Tianya mountain is about 5 kilometers southeast of Yuanping City, east of Dayun Expressway. On the Dayun Expressway, you can clearly see its posture, but it is not very beautiful. But when you get to the foot of the mountain and climb up the mountain, you feel very different. Even at the foot of the mountain, you can't feel the danger and difficulty of climbing. You can't feel it without climbing. It is a collection of mountains in Xiaocheng, which is an exquisite sketch of famous mountains. The top of the mountain is about 1100 meters above sea level and about 200 meters high. It's not high, but it's rugged and dangerous. It's a bit of adventure to climb here.

Next to it is a Lotus Mountain, and next to it is shigu mountain. Next to shigu mountain is shigu temple. There are Yuan Dynasty buildings in the temple, Yuan Dynasty Murals in the temple, and jujube trees in the Tang Dynasty in the courtyard. It's strange. According to an old man in the temple, this tree is estimated to be more than 1000 years old, but he thinks it is more than 2000 years old.

Historical legend

On the lotus peak, the Xiao shaped stone drum is the most spectacular. Climbing up the stone peak, you can see that the natural drum shape of the group of stone supports is like a giant spoon inverted button, head up and down boldly. "Gu county annals" has recorded: "the end of the world between the rocks there are stones, shaped like a drum, wind factory theft, such as the sound of the drum." If you look at it carefully, you can see a huge stone with a big head and a small tail coming out of the rock, slanting across more than 20 meters, forming a huge hole in the middle. As a result, the supporting points of the two ends are very small, empty and precarious, leaving a kind of earth shaking momentum.

According to Gu county annals, in the early Yuan Dynasty, a Jiexiu man surnamed Yan was kind and charitable. He built a medicine house at the foot of Shigu mountain to eliminate disasters and diseases for the local people. One night, Yan's couple suddenly heard people shouting from outside, and then bravely asked, "who are you outside the window?" The man outside the window replied: "Jie Zitui is stationed here!" It's said that jiezitui was stationed here two thousand years ago. The Yans thought it was God, and Yu Cui rebuilt the jiezitui palace. Inside the hall, there are giant statues of Jie Zitui and his mother. On the wall, there are 32 parallel collections of Jie Gongsheng. Therefore, jiezitui in the spring and Autumn period of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty naturally became the mountain god of Shigu mountain, hence the name of Shigu temple.
