Stonecutters' bridge is a two tower cable-stayed bridge in Hong Kong. It was originally planned to be the longest span (1018m) cable-stayed bridge in the world (but it has been surpassed by Sutong Yangtze River Highway Bridge), and its tower is the first composite structure of "stainless steel + concrete" in the world. The main span of the bridge is 1018m, and the total length of the approach road is 1596m. The bridge is part of route 8 and is located in the TSING SHA control area. It crosses the Rambler Strait and connects Stonecutters Island with container terminal 9 at the southeast corner of Tsing Yi Island. It also provides another way for vehicles to and from the New Territories West to Hong Kong Island, thus easing the current congestion on Tsing Kwai road. It is very important for the development of port logistics industry in Hong Kong. It is also one of the new architectural landmarks in Hong Kong. When ships pass through the KAP Shui Mun bridge, they can see the whole bridge.
The height of Stonecutters Island Bridge is 73.5 meters above sea level, while the height of bridge tower is 298 meters, both of which are higher than that of Qingma bridge. The bridge deck is a three line two-way expressway. The speed limit is 80 km / h.

Its main span is 1018 meters, surpassing the Tatara bridge (890 meters) in Japan, the longest cable-stayed bridge of its kind in the world, until it was overtaken by Sutong Bridge.
The bridge was completed in June 2008. The total length of the double three lane bridge plus the approach bridge will be 1596 meters. In addition to road construction, it also includes drainage, lighting, structural control system, power and mechanical facilities, fire prevention devices, road signs, garage area, navigation aids and traffic control and monitoring facilities.
