Shangyao Folk Museum is a branch of Hong Kong Cultural Museum. The museum is located in the nature education path of beitanyong scenic area, Sai Kung, New Territories, Hong Kong. Covering an area of 500 square meters, the museum was originally built in Shangyao village, a Hakka village of Huang surnamed people in huangcaoling, Bao'an County, Guangdong Province, in the late 19th century. The ancestor of Luodan is Huang Fasheng and his brothers. In 1981, Shangyao village and a nearby ash kiln were listed as statutory monuments. It was renovated in 1984 and turned into a museum of folk cultural relics, which is open to the public. With the theme of houses, watchtowers, pigsty, cowshed, open sun terrace and other attached building structures, the museum displays all kinds of Hakka farm tools and household goods, with photos and illustrations to reproduce the rural style of Shangyao in the past.

Shangyao Folk Museum is a branch of Hong Kong Cultural Museum.
The museum is located in the nature education path in the North Tam Chung scenic area, Sai Kung, New Territories, Hong Kong. It covers an area of 500 square meters. The original site is Shangyao village, a Hakka village of the Huang people, which was built at the end of the 19th century.
With the theme of houses, open sun terrace and other attached buildings, the museum displays all kinds of Hakka farm tools and household goods, with photos and illustrations to reproduce the rural style of Shangyao in the past. Except Tuesdays and public holidays, the museum is open to the public free of charge.

In 1981, Shangyao village and a nearby ash kiln were listed as statutory monuments. It was renovated in 1984 and turned into a museum of folk cultural relics, which is open to the public.

The renovated Hakka village has houses, open sun terrace and other ancillary structures, including kitchen, cattle pen, pig house and a six meter high watchtower. The museum displays a variety of simple Hakka furniture and farm tools, with photos and illustrations, to reproduce the rural style of Shangyao in the past.
