Lashihai Wetland Park

Located 10 kilometers west of Lijiang City, Lashihai is the largest plateau lake in Lijiang and the first nature reserve named "wetland" in Yunnan Province. "Lashi" is the translation of ancient Chinese, "Lashi" is huangba, "Shi" is new, meaning new huangba. Every year, about 30000 waterfowls come here to spend the winter. The scenery here is very beautiful.

Lashihai Wetland Park

Lashihai is located in the middle of lashiba, 10km west of Lijiang County. It is the first nature reserve named "wetland" in Yunnan Province. "Lashi" is the translation of ancient Chinese, "Lashi" is huangba, "Shi" is new, meaning new huangba. From the end of Pliocene to the beginning of Pleistocene, the peneplain under Yulong Snow Mountain was divided into three plateau Intermountain basins with relative elevation difference of 100m to 200m, namely lashiba, lijiangba and qiheba. Lashiba is the highest dam among them. There is still a water area in the dam. Yunnan is an inland province. The lake with a large surface is called the sea, so it is called lashiba. The elevation of the lake is 2437 meters.

In September 2017, the scenic spot of Lashihai Wetland Park in Lijiang was disqualified from 3A scenic spot qualification.

Development history

Lashi has beautiful scenery by the sea, especially meiquan. The beautiful spring comes from the intersection of Wohu mountain and Beidou mountain. On an early morning in March, I stood by the seaside of Lashi, which I had been longing for for for a long time: This is a wide and quiet lake. Under the cold sky, the lake is full of green light. Small wetlands divide the lake into large and small bays. There are a group of cormorants on the willow trees standing sparsely in the lake; in the shallow bay and on the bank, there are a large group of wild ducks, either searching for fish and shrimp, or sleeping with their necks. Once in a while, two bisexual red Sheldrakes flutter to the edge and take the nearby waterfowls to flapping their wings lazily. In the distance, the water is dense, and from time to time you can see the little shadow of the mountain birds swimming and dancing. This is the early spring of Lashihai. The early migrating birds have moved north, and the late ones are recuperating, ready to set foot on the way back.

Main attractions

According to the survey, there are 57 species of birds in Lashihai wetland. There are about 30000 birds wintering here every year. Among them, there are 9 species of rare and endangered birds, including the spotted headed goose, which is endemic to the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, and the Chinese merganser, black necked Crane and black crane, which are the first class protected birds in the country. Therefore, in June 1998, the provincial government officially approved the establishment of Lashihai Plateau Wetland Nature Reserve in Lijiang, Yunnan, including Lashihai, Wenhai, Jizi reservoir and Wenbi reservoir, with a total area of 6523 hectares. The main part of Lashihai area, with an area of 5330 hectares, has become a paradise for waiting birds.

Tips

It takes 200 per day to charter a car. A taxi from Lijiang to Shuhe ancient town costs 15 yuan. You can experience riding in Lashihai, but the price is expensive. The reference cost of riding from Shuhe ancient town to Lashihai is about 80 yuan.
