Shihua Cave Scenic Spot is located in the west of Fangshan District of Beijing, about 40 kilometers away from the city center. The constant temperature in the cave is 13 degrees throughout the year. In summer, it is a good place for summer vacation in the suburbs of Beijing. Shihua Cave is one of the most splendid karst caves in China, with various forms and quantities of stone flowers. Moreover, due to the crustal change, the multi-layer structure of Shihua Cave is very rare. The open part of the cave is equipped with color lights, which together with various stalagmites and flowers form a fantastic and magnificent landscape. It is very suitable for viewing and photography.
There is No.43 bus in Fangshan in Shihua Cave, which can reach the entrance of the scenic spot. If you come by self driving, you can only go to the parking lot of nancheying village about 1km outside Shihua Cave. There is no parking lot further. Sometimes, the local villagers will close the road. You can walk here for about 15 minutes to get to the entrance of the scenic spot. You can also take the Ferry Bus operated by the local villagers, which is about 20 yuan per person (it's not far away. It's not necessary for people with insufficient physical strength, such as old people and children).
At the entrance of Shihua Cave, there is a stone tablet of "cave Museum" inscribed by Song Jian, former director of the State Science and Technology Commission, and a plaque of "Shihua Cave" inscribed by Zhao Puchu, President of the Buddhist Association. There are seven floors in the cave. At present, the area open to tourists is from the first floor to the fourth floor, with 16 halls and more than 100 landscapes. After entering the second floor, you can walk about 2.5 kilometers. Generally, you can watch it for 2 hours. Tourists who like photography need more time. In addition, there is a tour guide service in the scenic area to help explain the image and legend of Shihua. The price of the tour guide is 100 yuan per time for a team of less than 5 people, and 10 yuan for each additional person for more than 5 people.
The view of Shihua Cave starts from the first floor. The first floor is composed of more than ten stalagmite groups, such as "lion greeting", "carp stream", "Penglai Fairy Island". One of the more special is the ten Buddha statue near the entrance of the cave. There are ten Buddha and Bodhisattva statues, which were carved by master yuan Guang during the Jingtai period of the Ming Dynasty. In addition, at the "stone lotus in yaochi" deep in the cave, there is a rare moon milk stone landscape in China, which forms a milky white lotus shape. It is very beautiful and can be mainly viewed.
The tour route on the second floor is 1352 meters, which is the longest and largest one on the fourth floor. It is open and magnificent. There are "bamboo fence cottage", "stone waterfall", "Dragon Palace curtain", "Qingtian Yuanyang pillar" and other landscapes, which are more atmospheric and fantastic, so it is very suitable to take photos in the cave.
The scale of the third and fourth floors is relatively small. The stone flowers here are quite special. Unlike the mature and larger landscapes on the first and second floors, most of them are small and growing stalagmites and stone flowers. There are "dragon lady embroidery platform", "immortal mirror" and "flower shoot tower forest" to watch. After viewing, you can go out from the step on the right side of the fourth floor.
There are many farmhouses and small hotels in nancheying village, about 1km away from Shihua Cave Scenic Area. After visiting, you can come here to eat farmhouse food or stay. Generally, the standard room is about 100 yuan.

geographical environment
Beijing Shihuadong Geopark is located in the low valley of the middle reaches of Dashihe River Basin in Hebei town and fozizhuang township of Fangshan District, Beijing, which belongs to the hilly area of middle and low mountains. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north. The highest peak in the area, liansanding, is 1180 meters above sea level. In addition, there are sangshuling, Fenghuangshan and Jiaozishan, with elevations of 838 meters, 735 meters and 544 meters respectively. The lowest area is located in the eastern wanfotang area, with an elevation of 100-150 meters. The terrain in the area fluctuates greatly, the valley is relatively open, and the valley shape is mostly radial distribution. The geomorphic type in the area belongs to typical tectonic denudation landform of middle and low mountains. After long-term weathering and denudation and surface water cutting and dissolution in the distribution area of carbonate sedimentary layer, a typical karst geomorphic form is formed.
Shihuadong area is one of the most densely distributed areas of karst caves in China. In December 2000, Beijing Municipal Government approved the establishment of Shihuadong Nature Reserve in Beijing, defining 36.5 square kilometers of the same area as Shihuadong National Geopark as the nature reserve.
This area belongs to warm temperate semi humid and semi-arid area, which is a typical temperate continental monsoon climate. Four seasons are obvious, dry and windy in spring, high temperature and rainy in summer, sunny and rainy in autumn, dry and cold in winter. The temperature in the cave ranges from 11 ℃ to 13 ℃ all the year round.
In a year, the warm period is 30 days longer than the plain area, the hot period is 28 days shorter, and the summer heat period is only 3 days. In winter, there are small cold periods, but there are no big cold periods and severe cold periods. This kind of temperature is suitable for the development of tourism. The annual average precipitation is 650-700mm, which is 50-100mm higher than the annual average of the whole city. The spatial and temporal distribution of rainfall is extremely uneven. The rainfall in flood season (June to September) is concentrated, accounting for 85% of the total annual precipitation, and mostly in the form of rainstorm.
