Liupanshan National Forest Park
Liupanshan National Forest Park is located in the center of the triangle formed by Xi'an, Yinchuan and Lanzhou. It is located in the south of Ningxia. It spans two counties and one district of Jingyuan, Longde and Yuanzhou districts of Ningxia, with a total area of 67800 hectares. The main peak of Mitang mountain is 2942 meters above sea level. The forest coverage rate is more than 80%, the annual average temperature is 5.8 ℃, the annual precipitation is 676 mm, and the annual average relative humidity is 60-70%. It is an important water conservation forest base in Northwest China.
Historical evolution
In 220 BC, the second year of Qin Shihuang's unification of China, he toured the western and northern parts of Gansu Province with a 39 year old heroism, leaving Jitou road and passing Huizhong palace;
In the Yuan Dynasty, Genghis Khan, the most arrogant of his generation, set up his military base in Liupanshan. His descendants mengge Khan, Kublai Khan, defeated the Southern Song Dynasty, Dali, and conquered YeFan started from Liupanshan and took Liupanshan as their base.
Liupanshan was also the last mountain that Mao Zedong led the Red Army of Chinese workers and peasants to cross. Since then, the Chinese revolution has embarked on a smooth road. Mao Zedong left his magnificent work "qingpingle Liupanshan".
In December 2006, Liupanshan National Forest Park was rated as AAAA eco-tourism area by the National Tourism Administration.

Resource overview
Liupanshan National Forest Park has more than 80% forest coverage and 788 plant resources. Vegetation types include not only horizontal zonal forest and grassland, but also vertical vegetation landscape composed of low mountain meadow grassland, broad-leaved mixed forest, coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest and broad-leaved dwarf forest. The main tree species are Populus davidiana, Betula platyphylla, Quercus liaotungensis, Tilia amurensis, Acer, Salix mandshurica, Pinus armandii, etc. under the forest, there are many Fargesia, Corylus davidiana and many kinds of shrubs, and the mountain gray cinnamon soil is developed. The sunny slopes below the forest belt and below 2200m are meadow steppe and dry steppe; the sunny slopes above 2200m and shady slopes above 2600m are mixed grass meadows, which develop mountain meadow soil and are good pastures for large livestock. There are more than 600 species of medicinal plants. Dangshen, Huangqi, Fritillaria, taoerqi and other medicinal materials are sold well in China.
In Liupanshan Forest Park, there are first-class protected animals including leopard, second-class protected animals including musk deer, red bellied golden pheasant, spoon chicken and golden eagle. There are about 200 species of vertebrates, including 38 species of mammals such as leopard and musk deer. There are 147 species of birds, such as golden eagle and red bellied pheasant. There are 905 species of insects belonging to 123 families and 17 orders, among which there are precious and rare golden bat moth, silk powder butterfly, black Papilio, ripple wax moth, etc.

Wild lotus Valley Scenic Area
Wild lotus Valley is about 10 kilometers long. There are cliffs on both sides of the valley. In the valley, there are wild Pinus armandii, covered with stone cliffs. On the gentle slope and bottom of the valley, there are forests of Pinus tabulaeformis and Larix gmelinii. On the river bed, there are aquatic wild rhubarb weevil, namely wild lotus. At the end of the gorge is an ice waterfall, and the road along the river bed is the Jitou road that Emperor Qinshihuang visited in those days.
Xiaonanchuan scenic spot
Xiaonanchuan is the trump scenic spot of Liupan Mountain and one of the main sources of Jinghe River. It is composed of ancient tree pool, Acacia water, birch bend, red birch forest, Feiliu zhixia, Dragon Girl bathing and many other scenic spots. Liuquan waterfall, known as "small Jiuzhai" reputation.
Liangdian Gorge Scenic Spot
Liangdian gorge is a place where Genghis Khan stationed troops. Liangdian gorge means cool gorge. It is located in the deep part of the Grand Canyon in the hinterland of Liupan Mountain, with a total length of about 20 kilometers.
Erlong River Guimenguan scenic spot
Erlong River Guimenguan scenic spot is a scientific exploration route. It is not allowed to enter without professional guide.
Erlong river is the main source of Jinghe River, with a total length of 20 km. It is the core area of Liupanshan nature reserve and the area with the most abundant wildlife and wild plants. There are well preserved primeval forests in the area, which are composed of Guihua cliff, chrysanthemum stream, little ghost gate, Zhengui tower, Dishui pool, jiujieshui, mushroom stone and other scenic spots.
