Fujian Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo

The Intangible Cultural Expo Garden of Fujian Province combines the cultural heritage and spatial structure of Ye's dwellings, uses physical objects, pictures, video and photoelectric means to display intangible cultural heritage projects in various directions, revives traditional culture through inheritance, promotion, training, interaction, exhibition and other activities, promotes the protection of intangible culture in Fujian Province, and undertakes the historical task of spreading and promoting the culture of the west of the sea.

Fujian Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo

Fujian Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Garden is located at No.82, nanhou street, Sanfang Qixiang, Fuzhou. It is a comprehensive exhibition organization with intangible cultural heritage exhibition, demonstration, collection, research, public education and cultural exchange under the charge of Fujian Provincial Department of culture and sponsored by Fujian Provincial Art Museum and Fujian intangible cultural heritage protection center.

Expo Garden

In order to further promote the protection of intangible cultural heritage, in 2009, Fujian provincial Party committee and government specially set up "Fujian Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Garden" in "Ye's folk houses" located in three lanes and seven alleys, as a permanent base for displaying and promoting intangible cultural heritage. Combined with the cultural heritage and spatial structure of Ye's residence, the Expo Garden displays intangible cultural heritage projects in various aspects by means of physical objects, pictures, videos and photoelectricity. It revives traditional culture through inheritance, promotion, training, interaction, performance and other activities, promotes the protection of intangible culture in Fujian Province, and undertakes the historical task of disseminating and promoting Haixi culture.

General situation of Ye family

Ye Zaiqi (1866-1907), a marquis, was named Xiao Han and Ya min. In the 12th year of Guangxu (1886), he was a Jinshi and ranked top three. He was elected to the Imperial Academy for review. He was the sixth and last Imperial Academy of the Ye family in Fuzhou. In 1901, he returned to Fuzhou as the supervisor of Fujian University.
