1、 School profile

Jiangsu Institute of technology is a provincial full-time university, located in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, which is known as a national historical and cultural city of "thousand years of study, modern innovation city" and an important modern manufacturing base in the Yangtze River Delta. Founded in 1984, the school has gone through the periods of Changzhou Vocational Normal University, Changzhou Technical Normal University and Jiangsu Technical Normal University. In 2012, it was renamed as Jiangsu Institute of technology. The school has 13 secondary colleges, including school of mechanical engineering, School of electrical information engineering, School of computer engineering, School of chemistry and environmental engineering, School of materials engineering, School of automobile and transportation engineering, School of business, School of foreign languages, School of art and design, School of education, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of mathematics, School of international education, and Changzhou Institute of intelligent manufacturing, Xinneng University A number of industry colleges and research institutes, such as Yuan automobile college and Liu Haisu Art College, have set up 58 undergraduate majors and recruited master's degree postgraduates in mechanical engineering and environmental engineering, forming a school running pattern with engineering as the main subject and multi-disciplinary coordinated development.

2、 Personnel training

Since its establishment, the school has trained more than 60000 graduates for local economic and social development. Graduates are welcomed by employers, and the employment rate continues to be above 95%. Over 70% of graduates are employed in the economically developed areas of the Yangtze River Delta, such as Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou.

3、 Faculty

At present, the school has more than 1300 staff, more than 1000 full-time teachers, one academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (double employment), one foreign academician, more than 130 teachers with high professional titles, more than 330 teachers with doctoral degrees, more than 170 tutors for master's and doctoral students, and more than 100 well-known experts in academic and industrial circles as distinguished or part-time professors. Many people enjoy the special allowance of the State Council, or have won the honorary titles of excellent teachers in China, young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions in Jiangsu Province, and famous teachers in Jiangsu Province. More than 100 people have been approved as young and middle-aged scientific and technological leaders, academic leaders, and backbone teachers of "333 project" and "Blue Project" in Jiangsu Province.

4、 Scientific research achievements

In the past five years, the university has presided over and undertaken more than 200 national and provincial scientific research projects, including major projects of national science and technology support plan, projects of National Natural Science Foundation, projects of national social science foundation, more than 500 horizontal scientific research projects, more than 300 million yuan of scientific research funds, more than 50 provincial and ministerial scientific research achievement awards, and more than 300 national authorized invention patents.

5、 Discipline strength

In close connection with the national development strategy and regional development characteristics, the University optimizes the discipline structure, strengthens the applied research, forms a number of leading disciplines such as environmental science and engineering, mechanical engineering and pedagogy, and creates highlights of disciplines such as "resource recycling" and "Vocational and technical education". At present, there are 7 key disciplines (cultivation and construction) in Jiangsu Province, and nearly 20 scientific research platforms at or above the provincial level, such as national technology transfer center, National University Science and Technology Park sub Park, provincial engineering (Technology Research) center, and provincial university key (construction) laboratories.

6、 International Exchange

The University vigorously implements the international development strategy, actively introduces international advanced school running concepts, standards and resources, and focuses on creating the characteristics of international cooperation based on Sino German cooperation. It has established close cooperation and exchange relations with more than 20 universities in Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Ukraine, Israel, Kazakhstan, Australia, Taiwan and other countries and regions. Every year, experts and scholars are sent to Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia and other countries to visit or exchange, and more than 100 foreign teachers are invited to the university to engage in teaching and scientific research activities. At present, we are recruiting students from South Korea, Russia and Central Asian countries.
