The headquarters of Beijing University of technology is located at No. 100, pingleyuan District, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It is adjacent to the South Road of East Fourth Ring Road in the East, Zuo'an East Road in the south, xidawang road in the West and pingleyuan community in the north. Founded in 1960, Beijing University of technology is a multi-disciplinary municipal key university with a focus on engineering and a combination of science, engineering, economics, management, arts, law and art. In 1981, it became the first batch of master's degree awarding units approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. In 1985, it became a doctor's degree awarding unit.
