Henan Communication Vocational Technology College

Henan Communications vocational and technical college is the only national public transport full-time general college in Henan Province approved by the Henan provincial government and registered by the Ministry of education. Its predecessor is Henan Communications College, a national key secondary professional school founded in 1953 and subordinate to the Department of communications of Henan Province, With a history of more than 50 years, it has accumulated rich teaching experience and cultural heritage. Automobile application technology and other key majors have been designated as the national talent training base by seven national departments. At present, there are 7608 full-time higher vocational college students, and more than 2700 adult education students.

The college is located in Zhengzhou City, the capital of the province. It has unique transportation geographical advantages and abundant transportation education resources. The north and South campuses have a beautiful environment, covering an area of 648 Mu and a building area of 167605 square meters. It has a magnificent teaching building, an experimental building with advanced facilities, a modern library, a standard track and field sports ground, an indoor gymnasium and an art center; all kinds of experimental and practice venues are complete and well-equipped, with the value of 40.25 million yuan of experimental and practice equipment, and a library collection of more than 435000 books Computer center, electronic reading room, multimedia information classroom, etc.; students, teachers and dormitories are equipped with heating, dormitories are equipped with independent toilet, balcony, modern student dining room is equipped with air conditioning, TV, etc., which provides a good place for students to study and live.

The college has a strong teaching staff and a teaching system of five departments: Department of road and bridge engineering, Department of automobile engineering, Department of economic management, Department of traffic information engineering, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and Department of adult education. There are 23 junior high school three-year programs and junior high school five-year program programs (25 professional directions). At present, there are 495 full-time and part-time teachers, 153 with deputy senior titles and 230 with intermediate titles. There are 2-3 leaders in major disciplines at the provincial and ministerial levels. In 2004, our three scientific research projects won the first prize of Henan Education and teaching, won the group first prize in the provincial "Higher Education Society Cup" automobile application and maintenance professional skills competition, and all participants won the individual first prize.

Henan Road Traffic Vocational Education Group and Henan automobile professional teaching and research center are all located in our college. The major of automobile application technology, road and bridge engineering technology and traffic information engineering were named as "Ministerial key specialty point" and "provincial key specialty point" by the Ministry of communications and the Provincial Department of education respectively, and the major of automobile application technology was named as "the first batch of national demonstration specialty points" by the Ministry of education. The college has Henan logistics professional qualification certification office, technical design office, national first-class driving school and national vocational skill appraisal institute. 74 large enterprise practice bases have been established outside the college to ensure high-quality practical teaching and high skill training. Graduates can obtain professional qualification certificates related to their majors as well as general professional graduation certificates. The great leap forward development of transportation industry needs a large number of highly skilled transportation professionals. The high quality education quality and social reputation have opened up a green employment channel for the graduates of Henan Jiaotong University. The employment rate of graduates is among the highest in the province's higher vocational schools and is known as the "cradle of Henan transportation talents". The graduates of our college are all over the transportation front of Henan Province. We can see the heroism of our graduates in the leading teams at all levels.

College entrance channels are smooth, and excellent college students can be promoted to ordinary undergraduate colleges; college also has Tongji University, Chang'an University, Changsha University of science and technology college to undergraduate and graduate education adult class and Beijing Jiaotong University Distance Network Education College, to provide protection for students' further study.
