Guangjiu college was founded in 2010. In August 2010, Dongguan Municipal People's Government replied and formally agreed that Dongguan Changming Hotel Investment Co., Ltd. would prepare to build "Guangdong Hotel Management Vocational and Technical College" (dfbf [2010] No. 511) in Houjie Town cultural and ecological education park. In 2016, guangjiu college was included in the national college entrance examination enrollment plan.
