One belt, one road city, is located in the "first national excellent tourist city", the first batch of national health tourism demonstration zones in China, the ten leading international health tourism destinations in the country and the first of the four largest cities in the country, Bozhou Bozhou, which is approved by the Ministry of Education. It is located in Anhui, the first place in China. Bozhou, with a long history of more than 3700 years, has become the birthplace of Taoist culture and traditional Chinese medicine culture.

The school running history of the college began with Mengcheng teachers' Training Institute founded in 1909. Mengcheng normal school was set up in 1952. In March 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of education, it was independently upgraded to Bozhou normal college. In March 2016, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Bozhou normal college was upgraded to Bozhou University.

A hundred years of school running history has nurtured the school motto of "being good at learning and teaching, educating oneself and educating people", formed the teaching style of "being rigorous, setting an example, seeking truth and innovating" and the learning style of "being diligent, good at thinking, sharpening ambition and enterprising", and cultivated more than 30000 qualified talents. The college adheres to the orientation of "local, application-oriented and characteristic" and takes the specialties of pedagogy, traditional Chinese medicine, food science and engineering, and tourism management as its characteristics. The college now covers an area of 925 mu, with a construction area of 253000 square meters. The library of the college is rich in resources. There are more than 700000 paper books, 839 Chinese and foreign periodicals, nearly 700000 e-books, and 28 self built Chinese and foreign databases. The library resources can meet the needs of teachers and students in teaching and scientific research.

There are 390 full-time teachers, including 38 full-time professors, 104 associate professors, 31 full-time doctors and 301 masters. At present, there are 11 teaching departments, including College of traditional Chinese medicine, Department of electronic and information engineering, Department of biology and food engineering, Department of economics and management, Department of education, Department of Chinese and media, Department of foreign languages, Department of fine arts, Department of music, Department of Physical Education, Department of Ideological and political education and research. At present, the college has 15 undergraduate majors and 34 junior college majors, including 8 provincial characteristic majors, 5 provincial comprehensive reform pilot majors, 2 provincial excellent talent training majors, 5 provincial excellent teaching teams, 6 provincial comprehensive demonstration centers and school enterprise cooperation practice education bases, and 9 provincial scientific research institutions.

Centering on the goal of building a local high-level application-oriented undergraduate university full of vitality and distinctive characteristics, the college actively promotes transformation development, open development, innovation development and service development, strives to build an application-oriented talent training system, and vigorously promotes the construction of disciplines and specialties. Nearly 100 million yuan has been invested in the construction of pharmaceutical, wine making, tissue culture of traditional Chinese medicine seedlings, electronics and information, design and media, logistics, accounting, tourism, teacher education and other experimental training centers, with a total of more than 160 experimental and training rooms to meet the experimental and training teaching needs of various majors.

Give full play to the platform of Anhui Province Bo culture research base and "Bo Culture Research Center", actively create the characteristic brand of "Bo culture", and promote traditional culture into campus, teaching materials, classroom and community activities.
