Jiaxing Vocational and Technical College

Jiaxing Vocational and technical college is a full-time ordinary Vocational College approved by Zhejiang Provincial People's government and reported to the Ministry of education for the record. It is located on the Bank of Nanhu in Jiaxing City, the birthplace of the Communist Party of China on the North Bank of Hangzhou Bay, south wing of Shanghai on the East China Sea. It has obvious regional advantages and good employment and entrepreneurship environment. With a 59 year history of running a school, the college has been awarded "advanced unit of teaching reform" by the former State Education Commission, and "advanced school of revitalizing agriculture through science and education" and "advanced unit of national agricultural skill appraisal" by the Ministry of agriculture of the people's Republic of China. It is also awarded "provincial civilized unit" and "advanced collective of provincial comprehensive management" by the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and the provincial people's government. It also has "talent training system of Higher Vocational Colleges" In 2009, it was listed in the construction ranks of 20 provincial demonstrative higher vocational colleges in the province.

The college now covers an area of 830 mu, with a total area of 184000 square meters, teaching equipment worth more than 42 million yuan, campus network with nearly 10000 information points, and library collection of more than 500000 books (including more than 200000 e-books). At present, there are more than 410 full-time and part-time teachers, including 282 full-time teachers, 90 teachers with senior professional titles such as professor and associate professor, more than 70 doctors and master's degrees, 146 double quality teachers, more than 20 excellent teachers in the national agricultural system and provinces, provincial and municipal discipline (Professional) leaders, and full-time foreign teachers. The college is a biotechnology application training base supported by the central finance, a modern agricultural biotechnology practice teaching demonstration base in Zhejiang Province, and a rural energy construction (sub project) demonstration base of the Ministry of agriculture of the people's Republic of China Vehicle technology research institute training (Teaching) base. The college has five branches including biology and environment, electromechanical and automobile, information and management, foreign language and trade, textile and art design, sports and Military Arts Department of social science department, textile industry and trade branch with 1 + 2 training mode jointly held with Haining China Warp Knitting Science and Technology Park, and "three rural" College jointly held with Municipal Agricultural Economic Bureau, labor bureau and Academy of Agricultural Sciences, as well as continuing education branch and other teaching units. It has 5 experimental and training centers and 44 experimental and training rooms, including biotechnology, advanced manufacturing technology, network information technology, textile and clothing, business and foreign language.
