Changchun Automobile Industry College was founded in 1978, approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China and sponsored by China First Automobile Group Corporation. It is a comprehensive general college with a complete range of specialties, mainly focusing on automobile, mechanical and electrical, computer and other specialties. It is the key training base of practical and scarce technical talents in the national automobile industry designated by the Ministry of education.

The school is located in the beautiful Automobile City in the southwest of Changchun City, which is composed of central campus, east campus and west campus. It covers an area of 191000 square meters, and the school building area is 98000 square meters. There are 37 professional experiment and training bases, 4 practice factories and 51 off campus practice bases with complete teaching facilities and excellent teaching conditions.

Relying on the abundant resources and technical advantages of FAW, the school not only cultivates and trains a group of "three qualification" teams with the qualifications of teachers, engineers and trainers, but also has a team of expert and skilled part-time teachers from various professional departments of the enterprise.
