PLA Ordnance Engineering College

The Ordnance Engineering College of the Chinese people's Liberation Army (PLA) is a professional education college with a complete range of engineering, military, management, philosophy and other disciplines. It is a national key university and is subordinate to the General Equipment Department of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. The college was established in 1974 and named as Ordnance Engineering College in 1986.

The college consists of ordnance Technology Research Institute, foundation department, Artillery Engineering Department, optical and Electronic Engineering Department, ammunition engineering department, missile engineering department, computer engineering department, equipment command and management department, electrical engineering department, external training department, graduate management team, rotation training team, coaching team and other units.

The college has four post doctoral research mobile stations, one post doctoral research workstation, two first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degree, eight first-class disciplines authorized by master's degree, 10 doctoral programs, 34 master's programs, and 43 undergraduate education, job training and rotation training programs, among which two are national key disciplines. The college undertakes the tasks of training junior commanding officers of multiple arms, technical support and theoretical research professionals of medium and senior ordnance equipment, and training foreign students for the whole army.

The college is located in the center of Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, with a campus area of 730000 square meters and a building area of 430000 square meters. The school has excellent conditions and advanced teaching facilities. It has an experimental training center represented by the Key Laboratory of national defense science and technology, and more than 10000 sets of advanced teaching and experimental equipment at home and abroad, providing good conditions for teaching and scientific research. The library has a building area of 11200 square meters, a total collection of 1.1 million volumes of literature, a mirror site of Chinese academic journals, and a capacity of more than 7.13tb of digital information resources. It has realized resource sharing with the national defense science and Technology Literature Information Center and some military academy libraries. The campus network terminal covers all teaching places and students' dormitories, and the backbone network speed reaches 1000 megabytes.

The college has abundant teachers and fruitful teaching and scientific research achievements. At present, there is one academician of Chinese Academy of engineering, more than 200 doctoral supervisors and master supervisors, and more than 370 cadres with senior professional and technical positions. Over the years, the college has paid close attention to the management of teaching and scientific research, continuously deepened the teaching reform and expanded the scientific research field. Since the college was rebuilt, more than 800 teaching and scientific research achievements have won high-level awards from the state and the army, and 52 patents have been authorized. Among them, he won 1 first prize of national teaching achievement, 1 second prize of national technological invention, 2 first prizes, 7 second prizes and 14 third prizes of national scientific and technological progress, 29 first prizes and 199 second prizes of military scientific and technological progress.

College life facilities, rich and colorful cultural and sports activities. Educational Technology Center has advanced audio-visual production and broadcasting system, and can transfer domestic and foreign TV programs through satellite. The academy has set up a military band and Art Troupe composed of students. Every year, celebrities from the literary and art circles are invited to perform and give lectures in the Academy, so as to activate students' extracurricular cultural life. There are two standard swimming pools with different water depths, one modern indoor gymnasium, one standardized sports ground, two fully equipped training fields, more than 1600 seat auditorium and more than 400 seat academic lecture hall and other large-scale teaching guarantee and cultural activity places, as well as clean and sanitary dormitory, dining room and bathroom, which create a good condition for the all-round development of students' morality, intelligence and physique One. Since its reconstruction, the college has trained more than 40000 specialized personnel at all levels, including doctors and masters, for the whole army. The graduates are engaged in ordnance equipment command, support, management, scientific research and teaching in the army, organs, scientific research institutions and colleges, and have made important contributions to the modernization of the army. Many of them have become leaders in the ordnance cause of our army Strength.

In order to meet the needs of promoting the military reform with Chinese characteristics and cultivate high-quality new-type junior commanding personnel, the Central Military Commission has decided to implement the "combined training of academic education and on-the-job training" for some junior commanding cadres at the undergraduate level, and the headquarters has given the college the training task of the "combined training of academic education" stage. In the stage of "joint training of academic education", the students use four years to strengthen higher academic education and lay a solid foundation of science and culture. After graduation, they are awarded a bachelor's degree in engineering or management after passing the examination. According to the headquarters plan, they are transferred to the corresponding vocational education institutions for pre job training.
