[plant morphology] Pteris palmata
Perennial herbs, 20-40 cm high. Rhizome oblique, tubular stele, pilose. The leaves are tufted or dense; the petiole is 15-30 cm long, thin, smooth, light rice straw color, the base is sometimes brown, all glabrous; the leaves are finger shaped compound leaves, with 5-7 pinnae, and less than 3 pinnae: the pinnae are long linear, 5-10 cm long, 5-7 mm wide, the ventral midvein is grooved, and the edge of the non SPOROGENIC leaf is serrate; the veins are sparse, obvious, single or forked, and the veins terminate at the apex A little below the edge. The sporangia are gray, wide and continuous.
Born on shady rocks. It is distributed in Southwest China and Gansu Province.
