Evergreen shrubs or small trees, up to 3 m tall. Branches dense, usually unarmed. Leaves alternate; leaves oblong, lanceolate or oblong, 4-8 cm long and 2-3 cm wide, apex obtuse or obtuse, margin microwavy or inconspicuous serrate, base cuneate, with dense glandular dots below; petiole 0.5-1 cm long, narrowly winged. Flowers solitary or 2-3 clustered in axils of new branches, pedicel 3-5 cm long, flower diameter about 1.5 cm; sepals 5, green; petals 5, white, long and narrow rectangular, rolled down, about 7 mm long; stamens 20-25, base irregularly united into several bundles; pistil 1. The citrus fruit is obovate or oblong, 2-3.5cm long, rounded at the top, with persistent style; the pericarp is smooth and glossy, golden yellow at maturity, thick pericarp, dense oil glands; the pulp sac is 4-5 petals, juicy and sour. The flowering period is June. The fruit ripens in December.
It is cultivated in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi and Sichuan.
② Jintan (Wenzhou records), also known as Jintan orange (Zunsheng bajian), Jindan (suixiju diet).
Small evergreen trees or shrubs, about 2 m tall, with short spines or sometimes spiny needles. Branchlets slender. Leaves alternate, slightly leathery; oblong, oblong, elliptic or ovate, apex pointed; petiole short, narrowly winged. Sepals 5; petals 5, white, apex acute; stamens numerous; pistils 1. The fruit is obovate, the base is not narrow and round, the top is not concave, and it is orange yellow at maturity, the skin is thin and sweet, and the pulp sac has 5-6 (7) petals. Seeds broadly elliptic. It blooms in summer.
Distributed in Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangxi and other places.
