Perennial herbs, 25-35 cm high, glabrous. Root hypertrophy, conical cylindrical, with aromatic. Stem simple, often unbranched. The basal leaves are tufted with long petioles, 3-4 pinnately divided, and the final lobes are linear; the cauline leaves are alternate, and the petioles expand into sheath like embracing stems. Inflorescence forked, apical bracteoles developed, umbelliferous, white, usually with 12 lobes. The back of the fruit is slightly flat, and some or all of the ribs are winged.
Born in alpine grassland. It is distributed in Shaanxi and other places.
